    This really does suck.
I live in Sugar Land and recently noticed small pinholes in one of my walls and some little mudtunnels. Well after further inspection, I have termites. I actually saw the little s*its on the outside of that wall at the foundation.

So...any Houstonians have any suggestions on a company?

I already for a quote today from one local company.
The estimate for that was around $650 and included using Termidor liquid around mu entire house. That also included drilling holes in concrete that is up to the house (a patio and atrium) and filling the holes with Termidor and then concrete.

Any suggestions as I am still shopping around!!

    Thanks

I am so sorry to hear that. Those little f#ckers are nothing but trouble.

You may just want to call around for price quotes. I'm fixing to sell my house and move into an apartment. The only termites there are yapping dogs and screaming children. :(

    Good luck

$650 sounds like a good price. They found termites at my house when we were selling it, and we shopped around a bit and think we ended up paying around that. That sucks man, I remember how pissed I was when I discovered we had them.

I don't know exactly how to go about this, but I'd try to find out what kind of termites you have.
If they are Formosan termites, I'd bet you will loose this battle and be better off selling the house now.
Formosan termites often build nests above ground and thus the barrier treatments will not work. In this case, fumigation of the whole house is required.

LSU has some interesting info, know your enemy :)

    Good luck
