Ok I had a dog over here for a week and had to give him back because I had serious allergies (different story) and then my girlfriend's dog was over here, and she noticed he had fleas..... I have hardwood floors in my house and 2 rugs , so where the hell could they live? I thought they had to live on dogs, but damn these little bastards have been all over my legs tonight. All jokes aside (and I am sure there will be plenty..... my sister's boyfriend told me to wear a flea collar) I need some suggestions?
Bathe in vinegar? Eat garlic? The man just wants to get rid of fleas, not spend the rest of his life in wretched isolation.
Are you actually finding fleas in the home? Notice any on your socks or anything? It could be that the dog just got the fleas outside. There's lots of squirrels in Houston and they spread fleas all over the place.
Mop the floors often. Walk around in shorts and white high white sox and find where those little bastids are. Spray 'em good. Keep mopping.
They make these can thingies about 2 and a 1/2 times taller than a soda pop can with this nozzle thingie attached to the top and they fill this can with a liquid which...puts the fleas to sleep and stops new ones from hatching. It's called a flea spray....ever heard of it? Spray the entire house, i.e. bomb the biyatch. Oh...and tell your girlfriend to leave her dog at home or you will be repeating the spraying once every few weeks if her dog is the culprit.
