I like part I of this idea... the Knicks helped us figure all this "role player" stuff out years ago when they got Thomas and Houston. They'd be a perfect fit on the Rox. Thomas is a bruiser and a very hard worker. He also led his alma mater (Penn State?) in FGM and rebounding. So he's an offensive weapon too. A very good upgrade from EG right now. Meanwhile, Allan Houston is a pure shooter. I did not think of him at all. But if the Rox have immovable contracts, then the Knicks have 10 anchors holding them down. Perhaps one obnoxious contract deserves another??? I bet Mobley would have some things to say about it though. theSAGE

If yao ming develops the way we want (and expect) him to develop...then this offense will be center dominated next season...which means if we get Allan Houston, he will be turned into just another spot up shooter. There are plenty of role players that can shoot as well if not better than Houston and don't have $100 million contracts. What's the point of paying Houston a max contract just for doing something a role player can do just as well in our future type of offense?
but the only people with max contacts are going to be steve/mo/cato is a good if we could win a championship with our new unis and all.
How is that a fair deal? Morris is 2nd round pick himself and has done nothing to increase his value. He doesn't command a 1st round pick.
Now you're just being ridiculous. I mean...you do know that Allan Houston already has a max contract right? He's paid even more than Francis. And Yao is due for a HUGE contract when his rookie contract expires. This means you want to pay 3 guys the max amount? We can all dream but we don't have Paul Allen or Mark Cuban as our owner man.
