It's really getting annoying how when people see me after a couple of months, the first thing they say is "are you okay? You've lost so much weight". I've been hearing this for more than 8 years now - no lie. I'm 20 years old, 5'9'', yet I weigh just below 130 lbs. My weight has hovered around 125 for the past 5 years or so. I eat like an animal though. Anything that's on the table, it goes down my throat. My friends say they don't understand my appetite or eating habits. When I'm at the buffet, I get double the amount of food/plates as them. Yet I haven't gained anything. I **** it all out, I guess. A couple of years ago, I spent some time in the gym. I was on creatine and whey protein. I gained maybe 5 pounds. As soon as I quit, I lost it all and was back to my old self. I haven't gone back to the gym consistently since. I feel it's a waste of time if I don't gain any mass. Should I visit an endocrinologist? This is not normal.
Why'd you quit? Did your muscles atrophy thus the loss of weight? That is weird... Considering most of America is trying to slim down, you're quite lucky. It's really not that bad bro, I understand you want to gain weight, but if you're strong like an Ox and healthy to boot, then I don't think there's a problem. Unless you're weak and fragile? but because your objective is to gain weight, here's what I recommend: 1. Play World of Warcraft. 2. Each THREE big ass meals a day. 3. Drink soda. 4. Move as little as possible.
My trainer says the best way to gain weight is to eat late.. eat things like steak or cereal or something after 10pm. Eating late is the best way to put on weight.
Yeah, I would say that. Especially anything that is high in protein, I think the number for anything above the normal intake for protein in one day for the average person is like beyond 115 grams. I think for athletes, bodybuilder, and esp. powerlifters ... I think it is easily over 120 grams a day. Also, he could get muscle building type supplements. I would say if he want to just want to gain take you chance with consuming more and more junk food.
I'm similar. I've actually manage to keep some weight on. I'm about 5'8'' When I started this bbs, I weighed maybe 130 lbs. The lowest I've weighed is 122. For a while, i've been at 130-135 lbs. I weighed myself Friday, and I was kinda shocked and happy, and dissapointed to be at 140 lbs. I still look like a stick to some folks. I think I put on some muscle here and there. Not looking towards 30 in a few more years. Sure as hell not looking towards 40.
How does drinking soda help you gain weight? To the op. I know how you feel man. I'm just like you 5"8 and 125lbs. Six months ago I was like working out, eating like crazy and soon enough I actually got up to around 133 or 134 by November. lol I stop because school was really taking up my time. lol Recently I'm gettin back on my diet and I feel like i'm picking up from where I left off quickly. Anyways, all I can say is just don't give up. I suggest spreading your meals out if you can like at least 3 hours. I think eating this way helps keep you from getting hungry. lol I'm getting back on my diet and I feel like i'm picking up from where I left off quickly. The only supplements I take is the chewable L-Glutamine and Mass XXX from GNC. Dude, I've taken many protein shakes, IMO Mass XXX is the best tasting one. TRY IT MAN. One in the morning and one in the night if you can. lol
Eat Pizza 2 times a week for a month. You'll gain at least 20 lbs. I think I eat too much of it. And lately, I've had a foot injury so I haven't been playing Basketball (so no exercise) I'm getting fatter and fatter. I think this upcoming week, I'm going to start playing again. This summer though, I really want to lose some weight for sure.
Damn, dude....I'm just a tad under 5'10", and in early January I weighed in at 242!! Now? I've been dieting and exercising hard, and today I weighed myself....down to 218! Got a ways to go, but I've been pleased with my rate of losing about 3 lbs. a week by eating better and consistently working out. Really proud of my commitment to the diet, and pleased with the immediate results. My advice? I totally cut out sodas, sweets, pizza, coffee with loads of sugar....I guarantee those things were contributing to my weight.
(Late Night)(30 to 45 minutes before you go to sleep) + Meat lover's that's what she said Pizza + Hot Chee-Toh's + (Coca-Cola) = FATSO success BELIEVE.
You skinny people make me sick. I've been in the gym almost every day eating 1200-1500 calories a day and I've still only lost 20 pounds in two months. I say count your blessings and become a featherweight boxer - you'll have a height advantage on almost everyone you fight.
Track your calories at fitday.com to see how much you really eat. You will be surprised to see that you're only taking in 2000 calories when you think you are pigging out. I'm 5'9 and weighed 128 lbs 3 years ago. I'm now up to 162 - by choice. Long story short...hit the gym three times a week, space your meals throughout the day (5-6 times a day), drink a couple protein shakes/weight gainers per day, track your calories and check back in after a couple months. I'm sure DonnyMost and/or Classic can help you out in detail.
oh how i remember when i had the weight problem....i aws 130 to 140 most of my life from highschool on at 5'8 but i was very cut and toned. I exercised a lot. But, after i left the Marine Corps, i didn't really care about much anymore...all i did was drink beer, smoke cigs, eat junk food and sleep through the day and work at night... i jumped up to 190 in a year from 140 lbs. I lost my job, and took a job that took a lot physically, and i dropped down to 170 pretty quick even though my lifestyle was still junk food, and beer and cigarettes. My lifestyle has remained the same with no exercise and i remain around 170 to 175 and at times having dropped down to 164. I've tried several times to work out but im in such bad shape i can't even run down to the end of the street and to tell the truth i just down care anymore....i've actually got more vag being so out of shape then when i had a 6 pack, built pecks and jsut an overall very toned body.
