I thought this was a cool idea that might surprise some people. Go to your iTunes (for those who have it), and one of the purple playlists is called Top 25 Most played. Post your number one, top 5, or all of them if you want. I would of never guessed it but my number one is Paint It Black - Rolling Stones with a count of 24 times. ALSO, If you don't have the playlist on the left just organize by Play Count in the Library.

Some of these have been in iTunes for a while, no doubt why they have come up so often. No one song more than 22 times though.
What do you have against the Mavericks? Mavericks, Dwight Yoakam and Kelly Willis are the only contemporary country artists in my collection. It is odd that that song would in the top 25 though, since I never choose to listen to it. It achieved its ranking based solely on shuffle play.

1. old brown shoe - beatles - im a huge beatles fan, but this is one of those songs i never really paid much attention to until a couple years ago and now its probably my favorite beatles song. 2. knock me down - the las - yes, the 'there she goes' band. this song is off a collection of b-sides and i tend to listen to it over and over again - has a really cool reggae vibe to it (or as reggae as brits can get). 3. jim o'rourke - all downhill from here - producer extrodinaire (wilco, stereolab, sonic youth) - also puts out really great solo albums every few years. 4. oneida - youre drifting - nyc band a'la sonic youth/vu - i was listeing to the album this song is on (the wedding) over and over again when i was in germany a couple years ago - i think its a concept album about the ghost of a dead german soldier in wwii, but i could be totally wrong on that. 5. roll over bethoven - the beatles - love the energy on this take. i like the fact that harrison songs are in my most played - suck it mccartney! 6. old school - danger doom w/ talib kweli - from their album about adult swim - the mouse and the mask - not a big rap dude, but i love talib's delivery, especially in this song. 7. kissing the lipless - the shins - chutes too narrow is a great album - i think every song on there would be in my top 25 or so. 8. breath of fresh air - warrior king - some of the most uplifting music out there - reggae dude - all his songs are just so positive and happy - great music to get your day started. 9. giant drag - kevin is gay - closest ive heard anyone come to achieving the my bloody valentine sound, which im a sucker for. 10. fred neil - mississippi train - nyc folk dude who was a big influence on dylan. great voice and great songs.
