It's Yao's team, and Steve knows it.

These last 3 games have proven one thing to us fans. Yao is the future of the team, but now, he is the present as well.

I think Francis has realized that Yao is the Rockets Tim Duncan, and as Yao goes so go the Rockets.

They have been concentrating on getting Yao the ball, and the big guy has only gotten better.

33, 27, and 29 points against 3 of the top teams in the West.

Welcome to SuperStardome Yao.....how does it fit.?

There may be times when Steve still makes boneheaded plays, but I am convinced that there is no more doubt in his mind as to who's team this is.

    YAO MING HAS ARRIVED !!!

PS. Just in time for the playoffs...

    :)

I want to agree with you here, but I am just fearing that Yao will regress back to his 14 points 7 rebounds self before exploding again to make us say he is a superstar. After 3 breakout games againts 3 great teams, it will be interesting to see how Yao does against the Clippers, Blazers and Grizzlies at home. If he continues dropping 25 a night we know that he has arrived.

I know it, you know it, Steve knows it, the team knows it, JVG knows it, CD knows it, Les knows it, other teams know it, other teams' fans know it, China knows it. Why you gotta beat a dead horse over and over again?

    Fatman,

Everyone will not be up for every game, and other teams will force Yao to pass more often.

However, I think the team now realizes that to win...the offense starts with Yao...and more often than not, ends with Yao as well.

    :)

I think Steve and Cat finally understand that he will only get better, and make their job easier.

Because I believe that Steve did not KNOW it until these last few games.

The Rocket guards are making much more of an effort to get the ball to Yao....EVERY time down the court.

It used to be if he was not open, they would freelance, now, they are forcing it in there....sometimes too much...but that will get better as the team gets better at getting Yao the ball.

Yao is the focus of the Rockets....FINALLY !!

So Dada do you still think that Steve is not the right fit for the Rockets or has Steve changed and become suitable for this team in your opinion?

what I wish he would do though... is not be overly tentative like he has been. now when he's leading the fast break and there's no layup, he won't pull up and shoot the 10 footer, but rather he'll pull back. that's too timid! i'm okay with him shooting that. mark jackson did it a few times today, and it's the right decision, and i firmly believe steve has a better pull up j than MJax.

but i think steve is making strides. if he's okay with yao being the first option. i actually think his playmaking skills could improve to the point where we don't really need to trade for another PG.

    Fat,

I still don't think Steve is a good fit, he is a bad passer, less than average jump shooter, and is turover prone, and he constantly peeks on defense which causes him to lose his man.

I would prefer an Andre Miller type at the point.

However, I do think Steve is struggling so much because he is trying like a banshee to do the right thing.

I would not mind him being traded, but if he continues to progress and make the focus on Yao, he may be able to become a good complimentary player.

    A Kobe to Yao's Shaq.

At least that is my hope.

But I still have my doubts.

    Wrong Rhino breath !

    :)

I don't hate the guy, I just don't think he is capable of playing at his peak with a player like Yao clogging the lane.

And, Yao NEEDS to clog the lane because he is so good offensively.

I think Francis and the Rockets would benefit if he were traded.

I do like his heart and hustle though, the guy really wants to win.

And that I appreciate as a fan.

i just hope one day, steve and yao have good games on the same day. I still belive they can be an exellent one two punch, but inorder for that to happen, steve needs to be invlolved in the darn offense. Cmon, TAKE MORE SHOTS. Hes to timid. If he loosens his mind, and just shoots it, itl go in. We know in years past he haas a good shooting touch. From what i see this year, his shooting style isnt diff, it has to be all confidence.

Yep, Yao is a star. Now, we as fans get to worry when his contract ends. It's a small worry, but a worry. I wish we could just max him right now and get it over with.

I don't really care about the points or turnovers as long as the team wins.
