The way Maurice Taylor has been playing lately I think he has earned the starting spot over Griffin. From what I have seen this year he has had pretty decent compared to recent seasons and I think that he would add more of a veteran presence if he started. He more than held his own against Garnett tonight. Also, Griffin is too experienced and needs much more polished before he is to become the player we all expect him to be, he should now be playing around 20 mpg each night.
The problem is... Both Griff and Mo seem to get in foul trouble early. It don't matter who you start, the other one'll be coming in with 9:48 left in the first quarter anyway.
I agree. I don't know if Mo has earned a starting spot per se as much as Griffin hasn't shined in his, but, he scored well tonight, seems to have been playing better lately, and should get the start. Griffin will be solid off the bench. I wouldn't expect it to be permanent mind you. It may not work. But I don;t think it will hurt chemistry any, and could be the combination that really gets it done.
I concur, although I do like Taylor's offense off of the bench but it's time for him to start. Nothing against Griffin but it'll be at least 2 more years before he's ready to start. Until then Taylor shall be our man at the 4 spot, if he continues his great play. I'm not too crazy about the idea of Cato and Griffin on the court at the same time, seeing as how neither of them are terribly offensively talented. Cato gets the ball in the block now and then, thats about it for him, only time will tell if Griffin will become an offensive inside presence.
I still think Eddie should start games. Eddie still plays OK defense and is good at cleaning up and getting easy offensive rebounds. Mo Taylor has been great and is a fabulous 6th man. I like him as our 6th man. He should continue his great offensive AND DEFENSIVE play off the bench. Don't want to mess up the chemistry...
