And we are thinking of trading for more hitting??? Please!! Soriano, Tejada and Lee combined still couldnt have gotten us out of this jam.

Lidge sucks. Im so sick of all you apologists who say.... "but look at his blown saves, blah blah blah" Bullsh!t!! This guy is mentally r****ded when he pitches. His ERA is a joke. They dont even play that "Lights Out" song anymore at MMP because everyone starts inching towards the edge of their seat in total anxiety. Even with 2 strikes and 2 outs (doesnt it always seem like that is the count??) someone always manages to knock the living piss out of the ball. He's done. He's toast. Syonara.... Whatever the hell you want to call it...

I really do feel sorry for Roger Clemens. He pitches a PERFECT game with a 0.00 ERA and all we do is blow a 4 run lead in 2 innings. Nice work guys......

The "magic" that this team had last year is not there guys. 2 months to the playoffs and we arent even close to playing .500. Im not going to throw in the towel because I love my team, but damn..... How much more of this **** can a fan endure??

Time to get out the pens and start apologizing to Roger.

I should feel sorry for Clemens...but then I think of 22 million reasons why I shouldn't.

Why wouldn't you feel sorry for him? Everybody gets paid...bagwell would be the only player you shouldn't feel sorry for this year!

The guy has decided to help this ballclub and allow us the great opportunity before he really retires to watch him pitch and have a chance at a ring!

In a couple years from now we will all be wishing he was pitching for us still!

i know we all felt sorry for yao during the 2nd half of the season when he was the only one playing well and we were still losing, oh wait but he just signed a max extension....oops, nevermind i don't feel sorry for him

thats bs...yao played his but off and got no help thus critics decided to say he couldn't carry a team to a win....i feel sorry for him regardless of how much he got paid! because he busted his but and earned every dollar he received!

    Just like i do clemens...

it sux that everytime he goes out there to pitch we have no run support or we blow a lead like we did today!

And then Lidge sealed the deal. I dont know why in the hell Garner didnt go with Wheeler in that situation. Just sucks seeing it all unravel 50 yards away from you.....

Apologize yea right he is making a ton of money and he does not have all the duties some of the other guys have. He gets to stay home on many road trips. Roger is fine no apology needed.

$13 million for pitching half a season, including lots of perks
He got to be in Cobb with Tommy Lee Jones

I'll make sure he gets some extra grapes in the jello mold that I make him...

#rd worst post of the year...Its his job to pitch...Don't be mad because you can't pitch and he can and is a millionare doing it. Roger Clemens is a legend and since you are new to this site you will soon see that by bashing him you might get ran out of here...

Apologize to Roger Clemens? You are outta your mind. If they were paying him a prorated $5MM instead of $22MM, maybe. I don't feel the least bit sorry for him at all. These last 2 seasons have been icing on the cake for him at the expense of the Astros.

Right now, he has the most ideal life a major league player could have and I don't mind the special treatment. He's earned it with the way he's pitched. But feeling sorry for him because of the lack of run support and the bullpen failures? Forget it.

BTW, not feeling sorry for Roger Clemens is NOT bashing him. My guess is the last thing he wants is for people to feel sorry for him.

Maybe you guys are misinterpreting what I mean by feeling sorry for him.

IMHO this guy is giving us $22 million performances every time he pitches. Damn right he's worth every penny, we should all be thanking God that we get a chance to see a living legend pitch. And for some jackasses to come in and blow the freaking game that he so masterfully pitched is a complete waste.

Personally I think someone should be rewarded with superb performances, not served a plate of garbage. Whether its Qualls, Lidge, Garner, or the bat boy doing the apologizing, I think someone should. That guy pitched his ass off today.

i have a hard time garnering sympathy for a guy who has won titles...is playing at home..doesn't have the same responsibilities of anyone else on the team...and has made as much money as he has in the course of his career. i appreciate the hell out of roger, but i have a hard time mustering sympathy.

lidge isnt the only one. how about our entire bullpen gets on their knees and begs for forgiveness. or how about our whole offense bakes him a cake and throws him a party.
