    Trade Harden to Boston for 4 first draft pics;
Trade Cp3 to LA for 2 draft pics.
Trade Gorden to anywhere for one draft

Or run it back and see if we can get our mojo going by the playoffs.

LAL cant afford CP3 and even if they could they definitely wouldn't give up 2 firsts for him.

I'd definitely move everyone not named Harden , Tucker and Capela for picks …. then use those picks to retool on the fly with quality veteran players.

Whenever posters have been assessing our trade chips here Capela has never been included, and Tucker rarely so too. CC would for sure be a shock, but between him, PJ and Gordon we're not completely bereft of options for moves. We're not trading them for picks though, with Paul and Harden playing we're not tanking and we're still in win now mode, bringing in mid 1st round 20 year olds doesn't help much. If we know one thing about Morley it's that he doesn't tread water. He's gonna make moves that he thinks will get us back closer to where we were last year.

I made a thread about this a few weeks back. CP3 is a negative contract. The value in his contract was supposed to be this year, with the 3 final years as a gift to him for picking us over a larger market.

It looks like even in this year, he is overpaid.

The right move is to trade him for some high but expiring contracts such as chandler parsons and joakim noah and get out of this mess.

How many 2day practice stretches do we have until playoffs? MDA will change defensive schemes in every single one of them, he must find something that is working, right?

    Three points -

    1) You are right , ,id 1st round 20 year old's don't help this team but you do have the option of trading those picks for established players who do help immediately.

    2) There is no getting this team back to where it was last year - Right Now. That ship sailed when Butler went to Philly.
The real problem with this team and difference between last year is a multitude of wings who could all consistently contribute a very strong game on most nights. Starting with Ariza and Luc but also Tucker , EG , GG and Ryno - You essentially replaced Ariza , Luc and Ryno with Ennis and both EG and GG have regressed horribly. And I'm NOT knocking the signing of Ennis , he's a good enough player but he alone cant deliver the consistency of three quality NBA players.

    3) As for who's available to trade or not - Capela isn't discussed because he's one of your foundational pieces. He's part of your solution long term.
Everyone but Harden , Capela and possibly Tucker are …. expendable assets.

If we're sub .500 at the mid way point , I don't see why we wouldn't shut it down …. playing for the 8 seed instead is a fruitless ambition. Best you end up with is the 15 pick … instead of a possible top 6-8 pick which could net you a high quality player in trade.

We need to rebuild through the draft period. The cp3 contract was dumb and we can’t get rid of it so just run with this team and build through the draft. We need a star that can score at will and doesn’t rely on the reds because you see the refs are not giving him the calls all the time on offense and they should but when your game is about getting fouled and the nba is all about scoring buckets and no defense well I see why they are not blowing that whistle.

Yeah I say let’s just ride out the season with what we got, get a good draft pick. Maybe CP3 gets frustrated enough by losing that he forces a trade, next offseason we can dump all these POS role players and if we get a good enough offer we can get rid of Harden and let Morey provide us with a Process of our own as we tank for a few years. I’d much rather tank and be excited about the future than watch a bunch of overpaid hacks get blown out every night.

Perhaps it’s time to rebuild this offense scheme.

I wouldn't mind trading Harden. I think the Harden Era might be over at this point. A bit disappointing but he's getting old and we don't have the time to rebuilt before he's out of his prime

Harden era should have been over when the "defensive juggernaut" video came out.
