Tmac has to forget his injury knee! It is impossible for Tmac and the rockets to get good seed in the WC if Tmac takes some games out. Tmac has to play through his pain.
Eh... we still should've won the game. Yao was like 4-19 and Artest was like 6-21. You can't win games when the two best players out there are making less than a third of their shots. And I don't remember who I was arguing with in that "Tmac with the STFU to the doubters" thread when Tmac had come off a game 7-13, but with 3+ threes. This guy said that if Tmac was 0-20 but went to the basket everytime, that that was a good game in his opinion. I don't know. Artest and Yao obviously went to the basket and missed, and I certainly am not feeling like "well, they at least went to the basket, thats good enough".
I was thinking of starting a thread about that... McGrady should make up his d*** mind. Either cut the crap and go on IR. Or play through the pain. Don't just assume that the team will be able to win games without you and "shut it down" whenever you feel like it. WTH is that. I've never heard of that happening for any other NBA player. I mean, at this point, I'd personally prefer it if he just said "guys, I need to relax, my rehab isn't working, put me on IR", that way the team can digest that and play on. You can't just put your team in limbo by declaring "I'm good, but not so good, I need a game off once in a while but I won't say when or why."
We can win games without T-Mac. That is why we brought in Ron Artest. Sooner or later, Yao or T-Mac will miss a certain amount of games and that is where Ron Artest needs to step up. Tracy or not, we should have beat this team.
I get what your saying, but with the way this team plays at home, would home court advantage be the best thing for them.......we freaking suck at home.
Three things: 1) I like how its still McGrady's fault when we lose even when he's not even in the damn game. 2) People call him out for not playing through an injury when he's out, but then make a 180 and call him out for playing and playing poorly. Hell, even when he has a good game for once, nothing. 3) Artest is getting a free pass. Obviously I would rather you guys not take pot shots at any of the players, but it kind of bothers me that you choose McGrady when he's still statistically the 2nd best despite being injured. Do I have to remind people that Artest is in the mid 30s for percentages?
I wish there was a system where we could make people own up to what they say. People get proven wrong so much on this message board.
Stop acting like T-Mac wouldn't have helped. No one was making these excuses when Yao missed a game. T-Mac misses one and it's back to "T-Mac needs to make up his mind". The fact is without McGrady, we blew up in the clutch to a team that isn't that good and played a tough game the night before. As much as you T-Mac "realists" tell T-Mac fans to just accepts facts and truths about how McGrady is this and is that, you'll just have to accept the fact that we sucked even without a hobbled T-Mac. We need both T-Mac and Yao out there. And then Ron, Shane, etc.
agentkirb87- are you watching the same rockets that everyone else is. 1. tmac is a baby he should not be called a superstar. 2. last year kobe had a dis located finger played went the whole summer with it played. 3. yea why not blame tmac when he feels like taking a game off. lets compare that to the light company o they feel bad today a few achs and pains so we wont go in people can live with out lights for a day. Tmac wants to be the source of light the leader for this team. how in the hell can you be a leader when you choose what games your going to play. was he even at the game tonight? tmac is done he should reconstruct his contract and allow the rockets to do something with the money. its time guys to trade tmac.
you missed the point.. it's not that I disagree Tracy would've helped.. it's that I disagree that Tracy is the be-all-end-all, that most people here make it out to be, to this team.. in any given game.. the suggestion that he would've helped isn't faulty logic.. the idea that we lost because of his absence.. is .. his help in this game.. wouldn't have so undeniably guaranteed a different outcome.. as most would like to lazily think..
