Not sure if its been posted but i just relized that in my time of lurking these boards, I havent seen this good news posted...so here goes! As part of the NBA's annual "Hardwood Classics" night the Rockets this year are slated to be decked out in the "Championship era" road uniforms seen from 93-95..... As part of that campaign, look for Yao and T-Mac versions of the "Championship era" gear to hit stores soon so save your money... also, here are the other teams slated for "Hardwood Classics" night gear this season Boston Celtics (Road 1956-57) Chicago Bulls (Road 1995-96) Detroit Pistons (Home 1957-58) Golden State Warriors (Road 1974-75) Los Angeles Lakers (Home 1987-88) Miami Heat (Home 1988-89) New York Knicks (Home 1972-73) Philadelphia 76ers (Home 1982-83) And who knows, maybe this "championship era" gear's arrival is a good omen of things to come....I mean, c'mon, I'm just sayin.....
sweet we wore the home jerseys of the championship era 2 seasons ago and the road jerseys yao's rookie year twice....sounds good i want a francis and yao jersey like that. i do like the retros from a few seasons ago with houston across the front like someone posted above
Ya the Mcdonalds jerseys are better, btw how come a team like the wizards are always wearing their alternative jerseys while other teams dont wear it as often?
def a must buy. I wish they would release like a Legends line or something that's cheaper than shelling out 300 for a Mitchell and Ness. I'd buy an Olajuwon, an Horry and a Cassell jersey.
i like the championship ones much better then any other jerseys.. gonna be great to see t-mac in it hopefully brings us good luck
I am all for the old colors, especially the jerseys that have Houston in the front instead of Rockets.

Last season, the Wizards choose to use the alternate as much as possible because the team was actively trying to swap out Bronze from their original color scheme in favor of the use of gold, which was used on the alternate jersey. However, problem is both last season's home and road jersey's still had bronze trim on the jersey's and it couldn't be changed to gold trim mid-season. So the Wizards choose to use the alternate uniform over the designated road uniforms in an effort to gradually phase out the use of bronze and phase in the use of gold. Well, this season the Wizards have new jersey's....sort of. Both the home and road jersey's are the same in design but gone is bronze, which is now replaced by gold. With these changes now implemented, you should start seeing more of the designated road uniform now that the jersey is correct, color-wize. Here's a look at the Wiz's new home jersey from their Media Day session...as you can see, still the same jersey, except for the addition of gold.
And just to make it quite clear.....neither of these guys in the pic are myself. I know some wise guy on this board will try and connect my knowledge with this pic. Well to you I say.... do you see a Trini in that pic? Cause that's what I am...Capish?
Can anyone on this board recall the Detroit Pistons switching back to their old "bad boy" colors just a few years ago? The one thing I can recall is after that switchback, the team started having success again, and later on, won the Championship in 2004. I think that it would be good if the Rockets would just switch back to the uniforms they last wore in 1994-95. Maybe they might find the same kind of success as well.
