54-28. The Rockets reverse their record from the year before. This is, of course, ridiculously optimistic. I am assuming that the Rockets stay healthy while defeating the teams they should beat.

Still, when you think about it, the Rockets would have won 54 games two years ago had they not lost nine games to sub-500 teams. And that year, they didn't have Yao Ming, Eddie Griffin, or Bostjan Nachbar. Glen Rice wasn't there either. He could be a big part of the team if he stays healthy.

Anyway, copy and paste this and give me your predictions:

    @ Indiana
    @ Denver
    Toronto
    Seattle
    Golden State
    Portland
    @ Phoenix
    @ L.A. Lakers

    Philadelphia
    Sacramento
    @ Memphis
    L.A. Clippers
    @ Miami
    Indiana
    Atlanta
    @ Minnesota
    Utah
    New York
    New Orleans
    Milwaukee
    Golden State
    Minnesota
    @ Orlando

Assuming we're healthy.....for the most part, I'd say we can win 45 - 50 games.

A lot is going to depend on the health of Mo T and Glen Rice, as well as the development of Yao Ming. If Rice isn't healthy, then Nachbar gets thrown to the wolves immediately. If Mo T isn't healthy, Eddie sees more court time along with KT. If Ming doesn't progress well - then it's another season of the Catotomic bomb.

Anyway, here goes...from the outside looking in...

    @ Indiana L
    @ Denver W
    Toronto W
    Seattle W
    Golden State W
    Portland L
    @ Phoenix W

I believe that makes 42-40. Could go either way about 5 games...though I can't see the Rockets wiining mroe than 47 or less than 37.

There you have it. 73-9 A 9 game losing streak to start the season and then a record 73 game winning streak to end it. First seed and home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

It's much too early to predict. I think we should wait until the final roster is complete to see who makes the team and what injuries may occur.

I can't go through all 82 like that. Let's just say, with only minor injuries this year, we'll net about 47 wins and grab the #7 seed. That's as optimistic as I'll get...but I'd be happy to put my Ming Dynasty/Eddie Griffin Twin Towers against the 1.5 Towers of Duncan and Robinson in the First Round of the playoffs...then, 2nd round, Rox against Lakers....

Then, we utter the Cubs' mantra: Wait till next year! :D

We will go 82-0. Beating the Heat in double digits every game against them. Ming will be the 10 millionth guy to dunk and imbarrass the Kidneyless wonder Zo.

Hey Kam, I just now noticed you changed your signature...or did it always have a "yao" in the middle? That's hilarious!

ROXRAN, what in the world does your signature mean?

If the Rockets play like my Rockets on NBA Live, they will win 82 games, score 200ppg, and Francis will average a quadruple double. (points, rebounds, assists, steals.) However, if the game is correct, Yao Ming will only go for layups and will get rejected by the rim. (why does it do this? )

Ok, maybe games aren't that real.
How about a 45-50 win season?
