Basically what I saw here was a Dirk-like player except not soft, gets to the basket anytime he wants, with defensive abilities, cross-over skills, quick first step, and dribbling ability. It's ovah
I don't understand why these guys (Durant, Granger) get no props at all for being some of the best players in the league. Who cares if their teams suck? Okay they won't win MVP, but how about some recognition (All NBA teams, 2nd or 3rd)
This is a pretty bold statement, but I give him 3 years to surpass Lebron as the best Small Forward in the league .....i mean its not even fair with this guy, 6'10 with a 7'4.7(7'5) wingspan and handles the ball like a point guard not to mention he's athletic.....if he puts some muscle on, he could play all positions.....and i think its a matter of time till he surpasses Lebron, and like i said before i give him three years to beat Lebron....(if he turns out to fill up all that potential, portland will be known for passing on Jordan & Durant ) ...PS. i think Lebron has hit his ceiling, what i mean by that is that his game isn't going to get better that what it is now....and if he doesn't watch out, his body will start to break down at earlier age b/c of all that stress he is putting on his body...ala (pacers)Jermaine Oneal, (magic)Tracy McGrady, (rockets)Steve Francis, etc....some of this guys used to be MVP candidates
Awwwww *****, he looked really good street ballin' in a league where they play NO defense. Look out taller, smarter NBA players. If we streetball could translate to the NBA wouldn't Rafer have been an all-star by now?
Durant is really good. But MVP are only given to great players on great teams or if you're Lebron James.
durant and granger are great scorers already, and will probably be even better, esp. durant. he's going to lead the league in scoring either next year or 2 years from now. the reason they're not mentioned higher is b/c of their lack of all-around skills, particularly playmaking skills. granger has ZERO playmaking skills and durant has very little. the best of the best can score and make the games easier for others.
Both Granger and Durant need time with a great coach. Durant already has a few nice pieces around him, Granger not so much, but the key for both is to be in a system that they can believe in.
Damn he's selfish. How many times in that vid did he bring the rock up looking to score, just like he did in the rookie sophomore game. Unless he learns how to make his team better he'll be nothing but a stat guy that puts up huge numbers that doesn't help his team win.
