I'm not a Rams fan by any means, but by saying that you're saying that the 76ers championship in 1983 was a fluke and the Spurs championship in 1999 was a fluke because those teams lost in the first round the following year. I don't know if you can fluke a championship, to me saying it was a fluke championship is the same exact thing as saying the Rockets have an asterick next to their championships. . . . .

I disagree . . . the Rams were killed by injuries this season . . . Warner was out, Green went out, Faulk got hurt, etc.

With all of their difficulties, they still almost won the playoff game. Killed by a stupid Hakim mistake . . .

The Rams will be back next season to seek out vengeance (hehe) upon the league!!

The Rams championship last year definitely was not a fluke. I also have to argue the point that they were killed by an Hakim mistake, because they made MANY mistakes before that in the game that also had a big impact, it's just that Hakim's mistake came at the end.

    SFrules,

Yeah, poor Rams - they were all hurt. Ever heard of Rickey Williams? He was their starting rb - was about 50% of the teams offense...he was hurt. Starting QB, Jeff Blake? Hurt. Some others I can't remember? Hurt.

    Poor Rams.

Az-Zahir Hakim's miscue hurt, no question about that. Dude oughta get some hands. What really killed the Rams were all of their penalties...especially the one that negated Faulk's 51-yard run. Warner throwing those interceptions also hurt...I think the aftereffects of his concussion played a factor.

Yeah, if the Rams improve their defense (speaking of defense, I think Martz should fire most, if not all of his defensive staff...they need people who can get the players emotionally fired up) they'll be much better next year. But even then it won't be easy for them, because I expect their division to be tougher.

In no way was last year's championship a fluke. Simply put, they were the best team out there.
