I love Luis Scola. I really do. But Landry is just plain better for this team. And in the long run he might end up being the better player if his body holds up.

With Yao I still think Luis will start with Landry coming off the bench. But without Yao I think Landry is the better option.

By your logic...Bobby Jackson is the better PG.

(wait....who really is the better PG, between Alston and Jackson?)

Second part I definately agree with. Landry can score on his own and even if a guy is right on him. Scola can to but not to the degree Landry can. Plus Landry runs around kind of like T-Mac which creates more openings and makes it harder for the defense.

First part is up for debate but I would slightly lean towards agreeing. Although I wouldn't change Scola starting and Landry coming off the bench right now because it works as is.

I have missed Landry dearly. With him playing I feel like when I did when Barkley was on the team again (Chuck is my favorite sports persona of all time and is why I am a Rockets fan).

Depends on how full of himself Rafer is on a particular day. If he's down to Earth playing team ball its him. If he think he can hang with T-Mac and thus wants to chuck and play "me" ball then i'll take Bobby.

Scola is old school. We need him to beat SA, Utah, LA, and Detroit. Landry is our energy player. When we playing warriors, definitely Landry is the better option.

Their roles are different. Scola is a hustle player while Landry is an offensive powerhouse!

I'm not so sure. It's fantastic Landry was great tonight coming off the injury but he won't do this every night. And Scola won't struggle like this every night. The key for us to finish the season is at least one of them plays their best each game.

This is a debate for next season. Scola should stay the starter.

Both are hustle players. What you should have said was Scola is finesse while Landry is athletism.

Scola and Landry are equally effective players IMO.

Scola has just been off lately.

    Bingo!

I think it said alot that with 3 minutes to go, Landry was the finisher. Scola was tired, and played hard all night. But Landry doesnt blow too many(if any) gimmes.

To me the missing piece in scola's game is the mid range jumper. If he can add that in the off season, he will be a better fit for the starters.

    Not too quick.

Carl is more atheletic, finishes strong. But if Luis is not trying to do too much on his own, he is as good with more savy plays, hutsle and experience.

    Right now, Luis should start.

    Future clearly is Landry's.

Man, that guy is a beast! Amare Lite.

To some posters, neither of them are the ideal PF. Some posters thought we needed some kind of enforcer to protect Yao. Neither of those guys are enforcers and I love them to death. They play tough and with lots of heart.

We are blessed to have Scola and Landry. I don't care who is better as long they are both for the Rockets.
