Cheer up guys, We're on a win streak. This thread will be positive only. Only positive remarks in this thread. All negative remarks go to DaDakota's threads. 1. Chuck Hayes looks like a nice rebounder and more efficient than Lonny Baxter. 2. Tracy has ice cubes in his veins. How cold were his shots against Deng. 3. Role Players are stepping up. 4. Ryan Bowen has returned to his normal cheerleading position
Fun to see some positivity following a game! Hayes had some friggin' crucial rebounds tonight. It'll be fun to see him get a chance.
That, IMO, is THE key. When Yao comes back -- and I will keep my fingers crossed about McGrady staying healthy for the duration of this season -- these guys (mainly Howard and Wesley) MUST maintain this pressure on themselves, and if they do, we will be one hell of a load for any team to handle.
I hope we make the playoffs - that would be an achievement. Even if we do not- I will thoroughly enjoy competitive basketball. I am enjoying watching John Lucas III, Chuck Hayes, Luther Head, and even Stomile when he returns. Let us see what these young players can do....
Like I said before, at this point I don't even care if we end up not making the playoffs. It feels so good to win! Welcome back to Clutch City T-Mac.
I will even believe if the Rocket's do that, but Hayes has to score 30 and get 20 rebounds. If that happens we are in the Finals.
T-mac is getting all jealous because of Kobe so he will take this team on his shoulders and carry them until Yao comes back. We will make the playoffs. We BELIEVE
No offense to Bowen, but this was amongst the best stats I saw tonight: Bowen 1 min. He's back to being a pace changer!
We were looking for a 3rd option, well he has been on the team all along. Juwan Howard is his name, now JVG needs to decide on whether he wants to give the best PF on the team the bulk of the minutes or go back to splitting the PF minutes with Stro when he comes back. Nice dilemma to have with Chuck Hayes, if he keeps putting up the numbers he put up yesterday, he will give the Rox some options in dealing Stro or Juwan and concentrating on another need besides PF in the draft. The Chicago play by play announcers mentioned there was some talk about shutting down Yao for the year if its decided that we have no shot for the playoffs so look to when Yao comes back as the indicator of whether the Rox brass decide to tank the season.
we still the worst team in the west. we just beat a 16-22 Bulls team w/o any good inside present. long way to make playoff.
