Man Assaults Taco Bell worker with Chalupa DES MOINES, Iowa - A man who claimed he didn't get the taco he paid for has been charged with assault for allegedly pelting a Taco Bell clerk in the face with a chalupa. Nancy Harrison told police she was working the drive-through Thursday night when Christopher Lame, 24, ordered some food. He later came into the store, complaining he didn't get the taco he had ordered, police records say. Harrison said that when she asked for a receipt, he went back to his car and brought back the bag. Harrison said she told him the store was closing, and as she turned away, a chalupa hit her in the face near her right eye. She said she ran into the parking lot and took down the license number as the motorist was driving away. Lame was identified through the license number. He is scheduled to appear in court June 15.
That's the first thing I'd do, if impailed by a flying chalupa, haul @ss out to the parking lot to get the license plate number of the perp. That's hilarious!
Thats what she gets for being a smart ass! So what if you are closing! If you messed up an order, then fix it. Don't just turn around and say "Were Closing" She should of told him that before he went back out to get his receipt. I wouldn't of thrown food at her, but I would of been pissed just like that guy. Why isn't this guys middle name not printed? Must not be a true criminal offense.
Geez, it was a fricking chalupa. If it wasn't hot, how much damage could it have done? That is ridiculous. If they're going to nab you with an assault charge, at least beat the tar out of the b*stard.
Okay can somebody explain to me what is the difference between a chalupa and a gordita. And how are they different from a regular taco. Oh and exactly how different from authentic Mexican food is Taco Bell's fare. From what I understand it's like pizza, an ethnic food that has been "americanized" to be quite a bit different from the original.
A gordita has a shell like that of a soft taco yet it is thicker and more fluffy. A chalupa has a shell which is crunchy on the outside and chewey on the inside. Yes Taco Bell is way off when it comes to authentic Mexican dishes. If you've ever had authentic Mexican then you know comparing Taco Bell to authentic Mexican is like comparing ground beef to filet mignon.
