if the Rockets somehow can't advance, having GS take out Dallas may just make it ok.

having GS take out Dallas is just as painful, since we potentially could have been in the WCF

Not really.... at least for me it wouldn't be ok. We'd really be missing the bus if the Warriors can knock out the Mavs and we can't even advance past Utah. Tmac needs to Man the F- UP and show what he's made of.

It sucks when you worry about stuff you have no control over, and can't have any impact on.

I'm getting tired of watching teams with more than two players that can dribble, shoot, and get to the rim. Lucky bastards.

Personally, I have given up on the Rockets, because they have obviously given up on themselves. Perhaps they will rekindle my interest Monday, if they can rekindle somekind of even little FIRE! Nevertheless, I am rooting for the Warriers, the only series that interests me at present. If they win tonight, the Mavs are toast.

The Rockets are a downer right now but today's games lifted my NBA spirits, even though I saw very little. I was on an airplane to Orange County while the Bulls were beating the Heat. And after a function I saw the 4th quarter of the Warriors/Mavs game. Watching the Mavs crumble and get plastered with a 22-5 late run by the Warriors was an absolute joy. I thought it was over at 88-81 but watching the Mavs turn the ball over, shoot 3 airballs and go on a 1/12 stretch in crunch time was VERY enjoyable.

Tomorrow is 99% about the Rockets and just a teeny bit about the Spurs/Nuggets. Tuesday is 100% about the Warriors/Mavs.

it's disgusting to read the posts of some of the "fans" here. if the rockets make any kind of noise in the playoffs i don't want to read **** from a whole lot of you. DISGUSTING.

    Ehhh....

Off the Mavs bandwagon already? For someone who has defended Dirk so vehemently in the past and predicted that Warriors would get steamrolled by Dallas, the least you could do is wait till the series is over to jump off the bandwagon.

don't get me wrong I really want the rockets to win.

But we we can't advance, I hope that GS get to the WCF along with phoenix, that would be an awesome series to watch. imagine they just score every 5 secs. the score gonna be 200-2001 GS

Say what? I defended Dirk vehemently? If you define not agreeing with some of the vitriol posted here about him during the regular season as "vehemently defending" him, then yes. But it was only after last year's WCFs that I stopped calling him Jirk. Off the bandwagon? Come again? I thought the Mavs would clobber the Warriors, but I haven't predicted their demise just yet. All I said was watching the Mavs choke was enjoyable. What does that have to do with a "bandwagon"? Predicting a team to win a series doesn't mean you WANT them to win. A few of us can lay emotion aside, make objective predictions and enjoy being wrong.

But remember, it takes 4 wins to close out a series.

My bad then. I must have mistaken you for someone else. I remember arguing with someone here who claimed Dirk was the superstar who could take over in playoffs and win a title. And I claimed most likely not because he is a superstar with a jumpshot.

Ha! Try this in the GARM.

That's what I am worried about. I know Cuban is pulling all the strings right now. If Mavs lose this series Cuban will feel humiliated. Can he work the magic he worked against ROckets in 05?

Dirk did take over against the Suns in the WCFs last year and he earned my respect. I stopped calling him "Jirk". Too bad he made that a distant memory for most people by disappearing at crunch time in the Finals against the Heat.

There is no magic. The Rockets blew a couple of 88-82 or 86-80 leads in games 3 & 4 at home in 2005. This season, the Warriors have a squad that can close out the Mavs and it's on them. To be up 3-1 with Al Harrington playing like a dog is impressive. Nellie called him and Monta Ellis out in his postgame remarks. Maybe that will light a fire because he should be the Warriors' 2nd biggest mismatch on offense after Baron Davis.

I agree with you on wanting the Mavs to suffer. I wanted them to win 70 games just so a playoff failure would be more dramatic.

Rockets are playing so uninspired its almost sickening. Its UGLY basketball. I cant enjoy our own damn games. Whats worse? Not enjoying my beloved Rockets? Or some other teams games...

Now the Warriors. They make me happy inside. Happier than any woman could.
