Yeah that guy was an idiot but his buddies share part of the blame for not doing more to get him out of there. At the same time I find it disturbing that you have four cops there and they resort to the tazer instead of finding some other way to restrain the guy. The last few years I have teaching what I call Drunk Buddy Self-Defense as for college age guys most of the self-defense situations they are going to deal with are going to be with other guys (often people they know) acting out while under the influence. That is the situation where you use techniques like that they work on restraining and defusing but being prepared to escalate as needed.

always 1 of these on the first page. I find it disturbing that people think cops should put themselves in harms way rather than taking the safest route possible, i.e. using a taser.
They probably brought multiple police officers because multiple people were involved and the cops received a report stating such. Not that hard to figure out.
Well then why don't they just put a bullet into the guy? There are four cops facing one unarmed guy with each one of the cops outweighing him by quite a bit. They should've been able to restrain him with little harm to themselves.
Who doesn't like watching someone getting tasered? The guy was being a total ass having assaulted 2 or 3 people already. Best thing to do is put him down as quick as possible, I'm sure he's no worse for the ware. His boys should have gotten him out of there long before any of that happened, but when it comes down to it this guy problaby got what he deserved.
This is the best thing ever, well deserved imo. If he was so tough how did the taser stop him??? He was overestimating his abilities and will probably re-think the drunk tough guy act in the future making it a safer, calmer future for us all.
Also did anyone else see him rip the phone chord out of the wall when the subway lady was trying to call the police? It's like 18 seconds in. No wonder the cops tased him immediately.
