Best SG and C in the game (there are some arguments, but I think it's true). A second year PF that have just being amazing. A borderline all Star at SF. Good PG(s). We have a great starting unit, and if our bench can contribute a little more.. watch out. This team IS championship material. Excitement all around.
You cant be the best in the league at your position if you play ZERO defense. Harden either is incapable of playing good prolonged D or just doesnt give the required effort. Both scenarios dont reflect well on Harden. I take no pleasure is saying that, i like Harden and want him to be the best SG in the league.
Harden has certainly not been the best SG in the game this year. He's not the best on offense right now and he plays 0 defense. He's still good though, just not the best.
Having survived the dark days of Rockets ball over the years, I heartily agree. It's nice that we have issues to debate and discuss, but equally as nice to see some good (and often great) play from our guys. Happy new year to all!
Not exactly sure what you're saying about the PF but obviously its positive. Tjones has been my favorite part of the season so far, watching him contribute and improve has been fun.

True. So true. I have gone through many sad periods as a Rockets fan. I hope for some good times. Without the interrupt to a chip game to watch some stupid white Bronco wind its way slowly through LA. And yes Harden is the best SG in the game.
We MUST show better against the Pacers, Thunder and eventually the Heat. Throw in the Mavs, Clips, and Lakers (lucky shot or not) - just b/c they have owned us lately......or in case of Mavs -for about 10-12 yrs now.
meh IMO harden has a long way to go to me and this season a given that Aaron Afflalo, and Eric Bledsoe are better. I just can give someone the "best in league " just because he plays on my home team. His shot % lack of defense, Flopping' and uncharacteristic inefficient game this season has insiders saying coaches might not even vote him to the allstar game I know many on this site dont really watch basketball, but alot of other shooter guards dont have to rely on freethrows to keep themselves in the game. Until harden gets his confidence back and finally does more than forcing layup and contested stepback 3's, he cant get MY vote. But hey thats just my opinion.. you can do whatever the F@$% YOU WANNA DO
Agreed, OP. Being a Rockets fan is pretty good right now. 2013 was a good year for us. I am thankful for the Rockets and thankful for the Ignore feature on Clutchfans.
I agree. A lot of these awful losses come on back-to-backs or against good teams on the road. Losses to teams like Philly and Sacramento are disappointing, but we were devastated by injures early and were basically a new team as well. My outlook is still pretty rosy; we're gettin' healthy and beginning to work together more. The next few months should be exciting.
i don't know about your guys. but my rockets games video collection had been labelled as " Championship season 2013-2014". :grin:
Harden will be playing defence in the playoffs, and shock the whole fan base (except those that know that he will play defence in the playoffs).
