    Webber next year.

Francis and Mobley are two star spots on the team.

Sure it needs 1 more key role player and a third star behind Mobley and Francis.

But with that said. It'd be sweeter to make a champion or at least go down swinging when you've done it on your own, much like the first championship team!!!!!!!

So, what you are saying is you would rather see a championship here in 5 years than one year?

What the hell is wrong with you?

Good post vince, I agree. It definitely would be A LOT sweeter, there's no question about that. If the Rockets get Webber and win it, it almost won't even be the Rockets winning the championship, just some guys that the city barely knows (not that I have any love for the city, however). Of course you'd have an insane influx of bandwaggoners to the site and to the games. I'd much rather have home-grown success. Since championships are so hard to come by, I won't be picky, though. I have no problem with Webber coming, I just prefer the other way. As much as I think the attendance sucks, part of me likes having the Rockets be my (and BBS members') own little secret.

I highly doubt we would win if we got Webber next year. It would take 3 or 4 years before that would happen.

Can our 'own' people only be acquired through the draft? If we get Webber, it won't be as a hired gun. We'd get him to be a part of the family; in fact, as part of the core. I wouldn't consider it to be a visitor doing it on our court anymore than I considered Cassell a visitor when he was tearing it up in his rookie year.

Do you think we shouldn't have done the Drexler trade?

I mean we did need a portland trailblazer's help to win that championship.

Do you wish we would have just kept our lineup and won w/o him or at least gone down swinging?

Peter: Lawrence what would you do if you had a million dollars?
Lawrence: I'd tell you what I'd do man...2 chicks at the same time man.
Peter: That's it? If you had a million dollars you'd do 2 chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Damn straight, I always wanted to do that man.

I believe Drexler's an exception in that case, because He's originally a Houston Local.

Um, I'd like a championship now, please. Not in five years, NOW!
