In the midst of all the repetitive junk, why not go back to the roots? I know Tinman will like this.

this is a long off season leebigez,

why not educate the board to keep them up to speed on the rich history of the Rockets?

instead of non stop speculation if certain players will return to their form they were like 7 years ago, let's talk about the players and what they did, not what 'they would have done if'.

    5 stars!

I'm totally down with these type of posts. I love this franchise, that means past, present and future. I'm sure there are quite a few people that have no idea about the Rockets history. Thanks leebigez. Much appreciated

Great thread. The younger folks don't realize that Moses Malone belongs in the conversation with Wilt, Dream, Kareem and the other all time greats.

    Also to note,

if it wasn't for Moses Malone, there wouldn't be Olajuwon.

If Moses didn't show a young skinny kid from Nigeria at UH how to play in the post,

we wouldn't have a Clutch City or Clutchfans.net

I loved Moses, and it also shows you that guys that are not Rocket scientists, can be really good at basketball.

You can see the Moses Malone influence in both Barkley and Olajawon... following your own shots in the paint for a better second attempt, the long outlet for a fast break, the offensive rebounding and going right back up...

Moses was the hardest-working, most relentless player I've ever seen. He just kept out-hustling everyone on the court. I'll never forget seeing him at the free-throw line, and every time the sweat was just pouring off him.

I forgot which video, but did anyone see moses take kareem off the dribble from the 3ppt line? What about the half court spins dribbling and finishing in the paint. I wish I still had my Moses poster when he had the staff and the cloak, lol.

I loved Moses back in the day. Hardest working guy on the court every time out.

I think of all the great centers, he's most easily forgotten. Its probably because he played for a few teams, but the guy has 3 mvps. How great was moses? He went to philly and took over a team that had been to the finals a couple of times and had the rock star dr j as the leader. What about taking a sub .500 team to the finals?

Tinman or antisonic brought up moses vs dream in fonde. Let me tell you, I've never seen 2 bears fight in real life, but it couldn't have been any more physical than those pickup games. It was like moses saw the young buck trying to take his crown and moses wasn't going to give it up easily. Not to mention, this was a pickup game.
