We're #11. Unless teams 7-10 are all playing the Clippers in a scheduling fiasco, I think we'll be staying here. As good as this looks: **************************************** 1. HOUSTON ROCKETS 32 46 .410 7 STRENGTHS: Backcourt of Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Shandon Anderson. WEAKNESSES: The Rockets' most pressing need has to be help in the front court, especially at the 3 and 4 where Walt Williams and Carlos Rogers/Kenny Thomas may not be the long term solutions. They need big bodies. 2. Los Angeles Clippers 14 62 .184 250 STRENGTHS: Live close to the Lakers. WEAKNESSES: These are the Clippers, where even Billy Crystal is considering signing elsewhere as a free agent. They'll need replacements for both PF Maurice Taylor and SG Derek Anderson, both likely to leave this offseason. 3. New Jersey Nets 31 47 .397 36 STRENGTHS: They're close to NYC. WEAKNESSES: This is a team without a real identity. They would seem to have all the pieces in place, but they just can't seem to get it together. The really need help at the small forward where Kendall Gill is always undersized. **************************************** IMO, the wins will have more of an influence next year. Imagine that there will be no trade up, who do you take at our spot? Olumide? ------------------ for Jenna's next trick, she'll convince us all that Karl didn't threaten to leave the Jazz, or for that matter that he ever played with the Jazz
