It also takes playing smart. The Lakers do that, and the Sixers don't. When you're down 1 with 50 seconds left, you never leave one of the more clutch players in the game wide open for a three to end the game. That's exactly what Philly did. Kobe was shooting 3 for his last 16... Shaq was out. Aaron McKie can do a good enough job on Kobe by himself. Yet what do they do? Double Kobe needlessly, and almost beg Robert Horry to end the series. He obliged. The Sixers could've won and should've won, but along with showing heart and being a good team you have to be smart. Leaving Robert Horry wide open for a three to end the game and probably series is not a smart decision.

I agree, leaving some shooters open was stupid, but this series isn't over yet. Again, the Lakers didn't roll through Philadelphia, they gave Philly their best shot and the 76ers still almost won. No it wasn't because they didn't have heart, and no it wasn't because the Lakers have the "heart of a champion", it's jst came down to he would be left standing, and it happen to be the the Lakers.

The Sixers had to win this game. It was right there for them especially with Shaq fouling out. The Sixers missed a huge opportunity. I feel the Lakers will at least get another one in Philly this week.

That may be the dumbest play I have ever seen. He already hit two threes in the quarter, and they left him WIDE open. Simply stunning. For the Sixers to win the next two, it would take an absolute miracle. They may take a charity game in game 5, but it won't mean anything. If they can't beat a Shaq-less Lakers, they can't win.

Okay Turn, work your magic. We need it. Wipe that smirk off of Kobe's face!

What's interesting about this is that you need all of them to be a great defensive team. I'd ask which one(s) the Rockets are missing, but that would be off-topic. [IMG]

If I'm not mistaken, a couple minutes before Horry hit that three, the Lakers left Aaron McKie (who has been playing really well throughout the playoffs and has hit many big shots) wide open in the corner. Does this mean that if that shot had gone in and the Sixers had won, that LA suddenly becomes the team that doesn't play smart? Or did the Lakers just dodge a bullet, something the Sixers weren't lucky enough to do?
