I was worried about losing that scoring wing off the bench, but credit DM for finding Chase late in the draft. Dude is a better shooter than Von, and is a lot smarter.

Chase actually passes the ball from time to time.

Chase Budinger = all of the scoring of Von Wafer, none of the headaches.

Chase seems a lot more comfortable in the offense than did Von (small sample though). From what I could tell, Von was always trying to be the hero everytime he got the ball and you knew he was never going to pass.

    i hope it lasts.
remember, Von was unstoppable when no one was planning for him.

After he was scouted, he seemed a lot more human.

    Larry Budinger does seem smarter.

No doubt. He tries on the defensive end and is learning from Battier according to chron. He's not a head case either.
LOL. Remember when DD tried to tell us that Wafer's skill-set would be "really hard to replace"? Uhhh looks like Morey found a replacement in the 2nd round... a replacement that is an upgrade to Wafer.

I remember how grumpy DD was on draft day when we aquired Budinger saying we were just "spinning wheels" by not getting a high profile name instead of the low risk/high reward moves we did...
