Isohunt has been found guilty of copyright infringement and will be forced to remove all of its illegal listings to their American audience. Mininova was forced to remove all of its illegal listings in November. http://topnews.us/content/29285-court-finds-isohunt-guilty-copyright-infringement
Is it possible to hate the government any more? I don't use either site, but these backdoor "money in pocket" deals are so obvious.
we better make the most of torrent sites we have left.. Can some one send me an invite to demonoid at dantonv08@gmail.com?
Hmm. Well it's a good thing I just finished downloading my quota for all the porno I'm going to need to hibernate for the rest of winter.
Where was the big uproar when we all had double VHS recorders and copied every movie rented? Like I said, I don't use those ****ty sites, but the government isn't doing this to "save" anyone/anything, just another excuse to fatten their wallets with more payolla.
Man I just finished downloading angels and demons dvdrip from isohunt! Man first supernova, then suprnova, then mininova last month.. Time to move on to monova and thank goodness demonoid is back up!
There was a copyright case involving VHS recorders. It set up the foundation for fair use laws until the DMCA rewrote most of it.
They can do all they want to try and block torrents, etc. but it's all hybrid now. Take one down, another 3 will pop up. The monopolies like Comcast/Time Warner need to quit wasting their time whining about bandwidth usage and rebuild their out of date infrastructure. They rape us on cable/internet bills and still do nothing about updating their own grid. I feel sooo sorry for them.
Come on man. You aren't stupid. Surely you can understand why one would pose a big problem. At every second, there people downloading copies of stuff off torrents. For your analogy to work, you would need 200 VHS machines all recording copies at the same time with people waiting to get the copies outside your door as soon as they are finished. Don't forget to buy 200 more VHS tapes for the next batch Lots of stuff is illegal. It only gets pragmatic to go after things when the pose a real problem.
I do not deny that pirating movies is wrong. It's just that I don't care. Until they catch me that is. Until then...
So, what's the real problem? Crime? Poverty? Unemployment rates and a still struggling economy? Filling prisons with people who posses mar1juana, the most harmless drug known to man and using our tax dollars to pay for their confinement? Yeah, forget all of that. Let's help out MGM and all of the record labels that raped us for years for CD's that cost $20.00 to purchase while only costing around $.90 to produce and retail. I'm sorry, I don't feel sorry for the company big wigs who lived in mansions while laughing at us who bought into the mass marketing of their product. The internet is here, it's not going away. iTunes found a way to make money "legally". Too bad these pukes were too stupid to figure out how make money with the new technology and still live in the 80's of hoping for more commercial success with the crap they produce. **** 'em.
Does that mean that you don't download music? For the record, I agree with you about the studios/record labels and the like (and particularly your iTunes point; the fact that the movie studios have been even slower than the record labels to find ways to embrace technology that isn't going away is sad) - but let's be honest here - it still doesn't change the fact that it is stealing. Copyright laws don't always benefit only 'The Man'. Sadly, in cases like this, there are still people who get lumped in with the Big Money who probably don't deserve the same treatment. It is entirely possible to focus on more than one thing. I'm not even sure the same areas of law enforcement would even be involved here.
