Is Melo just a loser? Yes, he gets the stat, but he is actually hurting this Knicks team. He doesn't pass well at all or play defense... When will Iso-Melo stop?
That whole point forward thing they're trying with Melo has got to stop. Let him concentrate on scoring and let the PG distribute the ball. They seriously need a competent point guard to get them in their sets (assuming they have sets). Losing Ray Felton was a giant blow to the organization.
It's kind of funny how Melo's getting the Kevin Martin treatment in this thread. The guy has been superstar caliber this season. The fact that the Knicks still can't play defense with Tyson Chandler, Amare's injury issues, and horrendous, horrendous depth doesn't make him stat padder. Melo's playing at an insanely high level right now.
I agree, people here just don't watch games I especially love how everyone's saying how melo doesn't play defense when in fact when you're watching the game he is average - at worst, and looks as if he is giving his best out there it's not his fault they have a team full of one way players and an incompetent coach
The most boring, stupid basketball that can be played is one guy catching the inbounds pass, dribbling the ball up and chucking. The more he does, the worse this team is going to get. Superstar level my ...!!! Stupidstar level is more like it! I hope they keep it up so we have a shot at #1 and #6 in the 2012 draft.
D'antoni's O is all about point guards running the show. While Suns fans were EXTREMELY annoying in 2004-05, that was the best variation his offense we ever saw. The worst thing they could have done was deal Felton. They can draft all the Shumperts and sign every Chandler they want; with no PG, that team is dead.
