Isn't it strange for you, that one of best teams in the NBA has gone so badly after their probably best game of the season? In the game against Rockets in Houston, Utah was really good, they were like in the top form. Then surprisingly Jazz started to lose. Is there any rational reason for it? Are they simply not good enough? I don't think so.

Every expert is talking how Utah-Houston series would be long, but overall consensus is that Rockets will move to the second round, based on a recent Jazz slump. I'm affraid it could be more difficult, than they are assuming.

Maybe the reason for this slump is because Jerry Sloan thought after the win in Houston: "OK. My players know now, that they are better, we can sacrifice the homecourt advantage for getting in super shape in the playoffs." And he applied some hard training regime for the players in order to bear fruits in the playoffs. I'm not an expert in conditioning and similar things. However, from my observations in different sports, usually just before olympics or world championships, athletes or teams have low scores and then come the olympics time, they break world records. Maybe Utah was doing so badly, because they were tired after special training? What do you think?

PS. Whatever they did, Houston will still win in 4 games. :)

    that's a pretty interesting theory

i wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz wasn't giving it all in the last few weeks, but suddenly pick up the intensity level in this series

they still gotta face a fired up tmac and yao tho.

Actually the Jazz were pretty terrible when they came and beat us. IIRC, they were on a 5 game road losing streak.

We had that gaem on April first! We had a good lead in the fourth qtr but couldnt score down the stretch. Also we couldnt stop them on ensuing posseisions. Its not like we didnt learn anything from that game.

Jazz have been slumping and we have been playing a lot better lately see the suns shootout for proof. We will be fine.

i think its more a case of a young team fading at the end because they have no experience playing meaningful games at this time of the year
