That just a week ago, "Franchise" accepted, for better or worse, the role of captain of the rocketship Houston. The players said, "We have been waiting for our leader to emerge." The media was equally thrilled saying, "The young man is growing up," with a slight twinkle in their eyes. Fans gasped for breath, daydreaming of candyland championships. Yet, in two games, the old man from Nigeria has made us all rethink what a leader is. Leadership is not accepted; it is earned not through talent or skill but through years of hardwork which earns him the respect of his peers and the admiration of his fans. He is not part of the team; he is the team. Team Hakeem! As for me, I am only slightly interested in the Franchise lead rockets, but would take eighty-three sub-par games to see one inspired DreamShake and remember why I am a RocketFan! ------------------ I am an invisible man.
Isn't ironic how Steve finally stepped up to the plate and we started winning games? ------------------ Hey now, Hey now, don't Dream it's over...
