Doesn't all the Astros playoff fervor make you hungry for more baseball?

These teams aren't bad SF3, in fact the Padres finished a half a game out of 2nd in the NL West.

That's right, guys. These teams are chock full of talented young players and prospects. In San Diego, for example, you could have 20 year old first baseman Claude Belford slugging homers for you for the next fifteen years. Dick Perez is a lefty hitting catcher of the future. There are - count 'em - THREE top third base prospects in the Padres system.

Let's run down the other teams:

    Milwaukee:
Young ace Ben Sheets has just been resigned! You can build a team around this young man.

    Cincinatti:
Not only is Ken Griffey Jr. patrolling center, but stud left fielder Adam Dunn has been resigned as well, much to the chagrin of many teams looking to snatch him up in free agency. Cincinnati has a bright future and lots of cash for the win-now crowd to sign top free agents!

    Montreal:
Dennis Stark is a 24 year old pitcher with a 4.60 ERA who will only get better. Zeke Zeman, just one year removed from the rookie draft, posted a 3.27 ERA out of the bullpen in his first full major league year. Josh Hamilton will be their left fielder for years to come.

    Detroit:
Jeff Weaver is the ace pitcher. 4.07 ERA at age 26. Need I say more?

    Pittsburgh:
Aramis Ramirez, your young third baseman, slugged 32 homers last year. Kris Benson posted a 2.97 ERA. Earl Orman and Rex Slater will be stars at catcher and shortstop, respectively, in the coming years. Carl Deshields is one of the top pitching prospects in the league!

    Texas:
Alex Rodriguez is your shortstop. Carlos Hernandez is one of your young pitchers. You have $38 million to spend on free agents. Sounds like a great situation!

    Tampa Bay:
Young third baseman Aubrey Huff batted .305 with 15 homers last season! Dewon Brazelton, a 23 year old pitcher, posted a 4.49 ERA in the starting rotation! Ben Grieve hit .289 with 33 home runs last year! Don't believe the reputation, folks, these Devil Rays are a team on the rise.

Ever since joining haven's baseball sim league, I have lost 50 lbs, have a better memory, and great stamina and performance in bed! All this, and great baseball fun that can be enjoyed by anyone (except John Rocker).

Thank you, haven! Thank you, baseball sim league!

Sorry Mr. Finn, that doesn't happen...but it's extremely realistic. You can talk with your players. For example: When resigning Ichiro whose contract expires after the current season:

Mariners: "Try offering $7.5 million over 5 years"
    Ichiro: "I want more money"
Mariners: "How about $8 million over 5 years"
    Ichiro: "Show me the greens!"
Mariners: "9 million over 4 years"
Ichiro: "Your offers are insulting! I will be playing somewhere else next year!"

It's very realistic like that. You should join. :)
