Imagine dropping 30 a game, being in mvp consideration, expecting a max deal, playing after your sister died, rushing back early from injury to help your team, only to get fked by Ainge and the very team you rushed back from injury to try to help and signing a 1 year minimum deal a year later.
Clint better take note. The cap spike got a lot of ppl paid but it also made all GMs smarter. When the cap jumps next year or the following, GMs are not going to be handing out huge deals to anyone other than the superstars. The days of the Ryan Anderson/Bismack biambo guys getting 15-20m a year are over and with right reason. I love Clint I think he’s perfect for this team and still has room to grow. But the reality is he’s played his career with a top 5 mvp player who excels at pnr. Look what harden did for Asik? Nuff said. Clint better wise up and take that 17m a year. Don’t be another IT or nerlans Noel.
