Anyone happens to notice whether Yao is still carrying the bags for SF,CAT or RICE….?

Anyway, he is nothing YET but a Rookie with broken English. He should continue these duties as least to the end of the season. (Seriously..)

If somehow we can land LeBron James next season, then let LeBron do Yao’s.. (Kidding here)

I don't tink So. Maybe Rice or someone else even carry Yao's bag.

If it is a duty of every newcomer to do this kind of thing, it is not a good practice. If it is a way for the newcomer to quickly get along with the veterans, that is OK.

It has always been done as some form of ritual hazing. Steve and Cat did it when they were rooks.

When Oakley was in Chi town, he made a rookie fetch his favorite donuts for him (Tyson Chandler?)

If Barkley was here, Yao would have to be doing all kinds of rookie junk.

Anyway, I am sure Mr. Pine gets those duties. :D

Nachbar has plenty of free time on his hands...I'm sure he's doing all the players' taxes and washing their cars...

Yao should be carrying bags because he is a rook. It doesn't matter if he is the ROY, MVP, All-star MVP, leading scorer and rebounder.

The newbies have to go thru the 'hazing'. The veterans still have to keep him in his place, and that means getting donuts, carrying bags, etc.

I think it's great, and I'll bet you Yao doesn't mind. It probably makes him feel like 'one of the fellas'.

    WOW !!

I can see why Yao is so tired, he has to carry the bags as well as carry the team on his back.

Steve and Co. have to tell Yao constantly that if you don't carry
our bags, at least dunk the ball whenever you got chance,
forget about layups.. or culture thing

All the guys who are on the bubble carried bag for Yao. May be they can become his close friend so they don't get cut come next year. May be some of the verterans can carried Yao's bag. Hopefully he will pass to them for some open shots. May be Steve and Mobley can carried Yao 's bag. So they don't got slap in the head for hogging the ball. May be Rudy carried Yao's bag so at least Yao can save his coaching job for a few more years. Just kidding. Yao is probably still doing his rookies duties with some help from Mr. Pine.

Nah... I don't think Pine is paid to carry people's bag. Boki and Tito share the honor as well.

I don't think Yao quits his rookie duties just because he scored well. He is too humble for that.

Yao, Boki, Tito and Hawkins all carry the bags. Yes, Hawk is considered a rookie.

I think they do give Yao special treatment, he has not carried any bags on a regular bases other then to be helpful and polite. And he still has yet to pick up some Krispy Creme Donuts for Glen and the other Rockets.

I do believe Ming's carrying whatever bags he's supposed to do. Trust me, he definitely knows who he is even he scores 30+. He NEVER blamed anyone when Rox lost, even in China media. He's a nice kid.

I was talking to a guy the other day that said he saw Yao at Einstein's bagels at Beltway and Westheimer picking up about 3 dozen bagels about three weeks ago.....
