The following is a screenshot of the website for anyone who went to purchase Planet of the Apes from WalMart's website. Note, this screenshot was taken in October of 2005. The company only recently changed it.

yes walmart hates all black people. they hate their money that was touched by their black hands too. how did you know?
That's nothing. I ordered Willy Wonka from Walmart and they sent me "Willy Wonked In Her Chocolate Factory"
The internet is still fairly new, and search engines aren't all that bright, yet. For example google anything with "adult" in its text, and p*rn will show up. Personally, I found it funny.
Well I can kind of understand the word Chocolate, but why the Planet of the Apes? It's was either entered into search results manually or the one black actor in the movie got it to show up. The title name doesn't lend itself to the search result does it? I don't think it was entered manually, that's why they write programs to do it.
No, it was written in by some smart-ass kid who found it funny. That said, search engines have a long way to go before these stop happening. Or have you not googled "failure" yet?
Wal Mart seems to be losing their grip. Their stores are ratty (at least the one I go to); they consistently get bad pub; Target, Kohls & Best Buy are growing their earnings faster.
just need to screen their workers better Is it illegal to put ARE YOU A RACIST on your Application Rocket River
Wal-Mart explains monkey business A link on Wal-Mat's Web site that tied "Planet of the Apes" to movies about black Americans was born of good intentions - a push to sell DVDs about Martin Luther King Jr., company officials said yesterday. A business manager trying to promote "Martin Luther King: I Have a Dream" programmed the site so that shoppers who bought any boxed set also would be offered the movie about the civil rights leader and other black-themed films. "Planet of the Apes: The Complete TV Series" was one of the boxed sets, and some consumers were outraged by what looked like an effort to compare famous blacks to primates. Walmart.com President Carter Cast insisted yesterday no slur was intended. "There was nobody here who maliciously put together that combination," he told The Associated Press. "I know the person was well-intended in trying to get the 'I Have a Dream' speech out as a cross-sell." The retailer took down the links this week and is revamping the system that offers consumers "similar items" when they click on a particular movie title. Just wait until they can sell liqour in grocery stores. There will be nothing left in Houston but Walmarts and HEB's... Walmart is the reason that it's happening.
you think that's great? You might not be a soccer fan, but I bet googling "Brazil Women Soccer Team" will make you a soccer fan right away. NSFW by the way!
