    Is it ONLY me ???

Do you guys think TMAC is getting totally out of shape ??

BTW, these photos were taken when TMAC showed up in the Toyota Centre at the last match of the Rockets, where he apologized to the fans for a disappointing season, and pledged for better things to come in the new season.

Wow he certainly does look like he's gained a few pounds. He might be wearing a brace for his back though. If he is getting fatter, so be it. He needs some meat in him. Since he's a permanent 3 now, he might as well add a few pounds to protect himself.

Umm...he looks like he's wearing more than one shirt below that sweater, so that might be it.

Or he might be embracing being a Houstonian a bit too much...

heh, i just noticed, isn't he out of dress code? Or was he just a spectator... :p

either way, he looks fine to me. I was at the game yesterday and he was just wearing baggy clothes, kinda like Mo Taylor did a few years ago and how everybody was saying he was overweight.

Well, the guy wasn't allowed to do any workout for five weeks, so it's understandable if he added a few pounds. He has almost 6 months to work out the extra few pounds. I just hope he can be at least 80% throughout the next season and JVG or whoever our coach is will limit his minutes no more than Yao's.

Probably because of extended steroid use for inflammation. Water retention and moon face are a couple of side effects.

Remember Yao looked fat too after he was out for awhile. I remember pics of him in that white shirt.

That's the first thing that came to mind for me too. The moon face is very apparent. He should be fine after tapering down.

TMac is the last person I'm worried about being in shape for the season. The only thing that will stop him from being back in shape is his back.

BTW, in the first pic he looks fatter, but looks normal in the rest of the pics if you consider he's wearing multiple shirts (apparently not warm enough for the "cool" people).

Good point DoD, fat people don't get cold and wear multiple layers to make up for the lack of insulation.

this is no different than the yao ming is fat threads in years past. no way does mcgrady endure this season and come back fat next year. i could care less what he looks like now considering he's got months to get back in shape.

Don't worry too much about it, though I will be mad of TMac if he still looks like this in Oct.
