    The deal with Fosters (aussie brew) is that Smeg said that in Australia, it's like the worst beer. They don't drink it and export it! hehe

    It's like Pabst or Milwaukee's Best... a crappy beer the locals don't care for.

    I don't know to many Texans who drink that stuff, but here in New York, its very popular.

    Speak for yourself: Coors tastes like piss! the last time I had some coors was in high school when it cost 2.25 for a sixer-
    nah, the beer up here is all too expensive. but i seem to notice more CIder being comsumed, as well as beer like Spaten or Grolsch. Never Coors.
    BUt I miss SHiner man, does anyone want to ship me some? I will send you a pie of the best New York Pizza on the streets.

    Shiner's great! What a brew!

    I could bring you a whole crate of Shiner in June when I'm in the Big Apple so as long as I'm taken to a Yanks game.

    hear hear Hoop-T... you should also try New Belgium's Blue Paddle. I don't know too much about Pilseners, but this is one of the few that I've found that's actually really really good.

    btw heypartner, that guiness image is gorgeous.

    X110thSt the closest place to New York you can get Shiner is Baltimore.

    No kidding...

    I went down there to visit my sister in law a couple of years ago and they actually sold it there.

    I've even called the Spoetzl Brewery and asked why they don't distribute in New York. They said that it would be too expensive.

    Huh?

    Right!!!

    I do wonder.
    I bet it's because it's made with Mexican water and the acid in the lime kills all the little Mexican cooties??

    I don't know, I use lime with most Mexican beers, Dos XX, Tecate, Pacifico... I think it's just a Mexican thing? It does give it a little zing, which makes it even more drinkable...

    What other beers do you freshen up with fruit? I've had St. Arnold's Weizen (local Houston brew) and Celis with lemon... anyone else?
