Three way deal between Bulls, Rockets, and Rashard.

Sonics get: Collier, Future first rounder from Rocks.
Bulls get: Rashard Lewis, 4.5 exception from Rocks
    Rockets get: Fizer

I dont think Fizer is going to play 5 or 3. Lewis would want to play in Chicago. And Lewis must also force Seattle's hand. I have no idea how this works out salary wise, so Nikestrad or achebe what do you all think?

No, because the Sonics would never do such a move. If Chicago really wants Lewis, they can offer him a huge contract that Seattle could never match.

Two first rounders for Rashard is not bad. This of course happens only if Rashard says trade me or else I'm leaving. Chicago would do this because they would be getting the 4.5 exception. This would still enable them to dream about Duncan and Hill.

Rashard is a restricted free agent and Seattle has right of first refusal. Also if Chicago really wants Lewis, they can get him without dumping Fizer.

    hahahahhaha

    funny.

I really dont think the Sonics want Collier. And definently wouldnt give up quality talent rite now for a risky draft pick.

<---will play the role of capologist [IMG]

Let's go to a team by team break down:
    1. Seattle trades away 4.1 million (I'm assuming Seattle signs Lewis to early bird, because that's the only reason a sign and trade would happen) and takes on $0 (picks, and first rounders count as zilch) They're trading down, always allowed.
    2. Chicago trades $0 (Fizer) takes on 4.1. They're under the cap, it works.
    3. Rockets trade $0 (Collier/pick), take on $0 (Fizer). It works.

But, there is one problem. The trade exception makes no sense. It can ONLY be used to take on more salary, not just handed around for a pick. EXAMPLE: We could trade it to Seattle with Carlos Rogers (2.6 million) for Horace Grant (around 6-7 million). So, cap wise, if you take out the 4.5 it makes sense, but the deal itself makes no sense, as Chicago has the cap space to sign Lewis on their own, and not have to give up Fizer.

I'm on my way to becoming aelliott's successor, hehe. [IMG]

Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong?
    Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.

Well anyways thanks for busting my bubble Nike. I guess no Fizer for us huh?

Probably not. Unless they are in a kind and generous mood, and hand us Fizer in return for taking Hawkins off our hands. Probably not happening.

I'm on vacation in San Diego, so in my absence, NIKEstrad will be handling all cap related issues.

    Carry on,
