You must not be from Houston, we're all bandwagon fans. I wasn't tuning into the Astros when they were losing 100 games either! Bite me!
Unlike the Texans this team actually has a plan. Only negative is if these players do end up being special I don’t trust our owner to spend what’s needed to take the next step.
You can find a ticket to the home opener for about $14 a pop. If that price holds true for the nosebleeds all season (most likely it will), you're looking at investing in about 8 games ($14 x 8 = $112) if you buy the local league pass ($119). If you live in Houston that might be worth it since you get to watch the team but don't have to suffer through sitting through one live.
This isn’t the Astros. And it’s not an Astros dedicated forum. Baseball also has approximately 379 games a year.
@Nook would 8 rockets games or 2 grams of blow and some cheap whiskey be a more enjoyable use of $120?
They can't grow with Silas. Not worth the time to watch ,op I agree with you. Clean house of the coaching staff and I'll probably reverse my vote to yes. Cut house also. Motion offense through sengun like vlade and I'll watch. Five out offense with no shooters in the starting offense? I'd rather watch paint dry.
I would still go to some games if I lived in Houston but unfortunately I live in Seattle now. I've driven to Portland whenever the Rockets played the Blazers during the Harden years. It's more about time than money, it's like 250+ hours of regular season basketball...on TV...with Ryan Hollins.
"If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. We need not wait to see what others do."
That depends, for me, I am just going to look to see whom should stay on the team and whom we should get rid of, who is progressing, and see if the team is getting better. That is worth it for me to buy league pass - so already have it.....however, you can always just stream games these days so if you are short of cash, then no. Nor if you are frustrated with tons of losses..... Patience is the key as this IMHO is the worst team to break training camp the Rockets have ever had. DD
I bought league pass, but I am not expecting anything at all from this group for years. It's still entertaining. If you want to watch them win, you'd be better off waiting a while because they aren't going to do a whole lot of that right now.
