Check out the Feb. 21 Garfield which refers to an interesting dating -um- activity. OK, I'm a bad, bad person.
That's what I was wondering. I can't understand the logic of the joke at all. What definition of "spelunking at her place" would be considered a bad date?
Yea, I used to work with a guy who was real big into caving and spelunker (or actually spelunking) was another name for it. They even have a symbol which is a bat. But yea that Garfield was a little obscure even if you knew what spelunker meant; what was the joke exactly?
It's like that episode of Seinfeld when Elaine calls out The New Yorker for their so called "funny cartoon" and it turns out the editor ran it in the NewYorker and didnt even know what it meant..
I think that the 'clean' meaning is that he was dating someone that was so ugly, that she lived in a cave. He's a big loser and that's about the only thing that he could date. That's the only clean version that I can come up with.
That, or her place is such a wreck that it resembles a cave and he had to traverse it to go on the date with her.... But that's really way too long of a walk for a short drink of water.
I would think that if the spelunking meant poon, and they wend spelunking at her place, that would be a good date. So.... no, I don't think that's what it meant. I really have no idea what it means.
I don't know what that has to do with the thread, but that pic is hilarious and I can't stifle my laughter much longer, people are starting to notice.
Jon's a very sexually adventurous guy. Can't imagine what he does with a jar of peanut butter and Odie on a friday night.
