Remember in 91? when someone traded the warriors three first rounders for the #1 overall or something???

    im real fuzzy on that.

    why couldnt we trade...
the bucks pick, our pick, detroits pick, orlandos pick, and 3 future first rounders for the #1 overall.

then we could get either wallace, griffin, chandler, or curry.

    thoughts???

The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?

I'll add Zac Randolph to that list.I'm pretty excited about next year but I would be very surprised if we got all those picks and even more surprised if we traded them all, that's seven first or future first round picks. We could move into the top eight and still get a very good possible superstar for alot cheaper.

Actually, you dont need to have all the picks this year to trade them SSG.

But who is this type of deal bad for.

One team gets a superstar, the other gets 7 first rounders.

The reason somthing like this should go down, is because i think the rockets are one "eddie griffin type player" from being championship contenders.

with francis and a #1 pick, then anderson mobley, cato, and taylor being the role players, i think the rockets could beat the lakers. plus. the oldest player of this group would be shandon, a guy who was drafted in 97. something to think about there.

The deal was actually an exchange of two top picks Webber for Hardaway then it included three future first round picks. Don Nelson is the one that gave up the three future picks so I think that about sums it up there.

In any case, I think in this draft teams may be willing to move down from a top 8 pick to two mid first round picks and other considerations b/c there is so much depth. It still will be very difficult to move up tho b/c its hard for a team to deal away a player like Eddie Griffin or Gerald Wallace. Its still very early to call but anything is possible.
