I apologize if i am misinformed but doesn't the NY trade have to go down in the next hour if we have any chance of flipping NY's trash. Don't we have to wait 48 hours before flipping a player. Isn't the deadline in like 49 hours. I'm so sorry if this thread is pointless, but all the posts throughout the garm have people posting options after the NY trade. Lock it up, if I'm mistaken.

This is a good question to which I don't know the answer. Does anyone else?

I think if you trade them immediately, it can be done.

I think we need 48 hours from the time the trade is official.

I think you can flip them any time up until the deadline, but only by themselves.

So for example, say we take Larry Hughes back. We can only trade him alone to somebody else, not him plus Luis Scola.

I'm no expert, but IIRC you can trade a player from a multi-player trade in a second multi-player trade within 48 hours but before the trade deadline. After 48 hours you cannot package him with another player until three months has elapsed, assuming, unlike now, the trade deadline was more than 48 hours away.

We aren't going to flip anybody we get from NY. If the trade goes down, don't look for the team to trade Jeffries until the summer or by next deadline when he has value. I doubt we trade Hill.

It's true we probably won't be able to trade Jeffries, but we could trade the expiring contract (Hughes).

Didn't think about that. I'd keep Harrington if he is in the deal.

You can flip by just incorporating a 3-way...

ID RATHER SEND THE NY BUNCH TO WASHINGTON FOR JAMISON AND MILLER.,AND NY STILL GET MCGRADY.

HILL IS NOT GOING TO PRODUCE THAT MUCH IN THE PLAYOFFS AGAINST TRUE CENTERS OR POWER FOWARDS FOR THAT MATTER.

THESE TRADE TREADS ARE GETTING ON MY NERVES....
ONLY BECAUSE ALL IM HEARING IS THAT HOUSTON MIGHT GET MORE GARBAGE TO RIDE THE PINE....

CRAZY THOUGHT.....DONT TRADE MCGRADY.NEXT SEASON COME STRONG WITH OFFERS TO BOSH OR ANOTHER ALL STAR...

How can we flip NY's trash if we don't get their trash? Maybe this trade doesn't happen. Jumping to conclusions, are we?

Nothing wrong with thinking a few days and one move ahead. I'm sure Morey is.
