Having the flu over the Christmas holiday? (even if you are Jewish!) I started coming down with it on Sunday night. By Monday, I was running a temp of 102. I bundled up and ran out to the drug store and spent $40 on flu stuff, including a killer new digital thermometer. I hadn't had the flu in so long that all of the medicine in my cabinet had expired. Then I went to my folks' house to grab extra blankets. Spent all day Monday and Tuesday in bed sweating my ass off. Fever broke on Wednesday, but I still have a sore throat, my nose is clogged, and I'm coughing up lung cookies. Post your flu-fighting remedies here...I need your help!!!
Ah man, thats harsh! I feel for ya TEx.. I dont get sick that often, but when I do, I find that sick tasting Theraflu stuff to be pretty effective for me. I plop my butt in bed, cover up, and drink Theraflu till I feel better.. Hope ya get to feeling better soon..
I had the horible luck of being suck for ever major occasion for about three straight years. It seemed like every birthday, Christmas, Easter and so on....I was always at home sick. This is really the first time in a long time I havent been unwell on a major occasion. Its so much more fun this way.
Damn. That was a shocking post.....and I cant even claim I was sick. I guess that first sentance is how a Kiwi would say things. Fush and chups
my son was sick...we took him to the doctor on christmas eve morning...they said he had bronchitis...gave him medicine...but said he wasn't contagious...he acted like he felt fine and had a low temperature...everything worked out ok, but i was worried he'd miss out on fun with his cousins on christmas...
I can certainly relate, RocketmanTex. Started with one of the young uns and now we've all had it. And the cedar allergies out here makes it even worse for me. At least we're not alone in illness!
Having to take a freezing cold shower when its freezing cold and you counted on a nice relaxing hot shower.
