Some people would argue that Bulls have loads of talent and potential stars at every position. Some might say the clippers are loaded as well. Others might say that the Grizzlies with Gasol Battier Gooden and led by West will continue to improve. But is there future brighter than the Rockets?

I would like to know what you think.

    Great question.

    Bulls... for sure.

Clipps...they have the talent but I just don't see ownership being commited to winning.

Lakers...as long as #8 and #34 are in uniform, the rest of the pieces of their puzzle are interchangable and the road to the finals (for the forseeable future)goes thru the Staples center.

Memphis...as long as West is running the show, they will compete.

Nets...as long as Steinbrenner owns the team, they will compete

The Rockets have as bright or brighter future than all of these teams. This could be the start of something big!!!

    They all could flame out.
Sterling will torpedo the Clippers eventually.

Memphis has Gasol and Battier, who I would prefer to Ming and Griffin right now as far as production, but they play in Memphis. Are they ever going to attract/retain top quality free agents to play in a rundown, small market southern industrial city? Seriously, I don't mean to insult anybody from there but if you had your choice to play in a bigger or nicer city, of which the NBA has many, or toil in obscurity in Memphis, its an easy choice.

Chicago will be good, if its 20 year old highschoolers develop, who knows if they will.

Houston has a lot of ifs too IF Francis can play a full season, IF Griffin can develop, IF Ming is good, IF Nachbar can play. A lot of times bright young teams turn out to suck.

But if I had to pick of the four, I would say Houston bc francis has shown more than any individual player on any of the other three

Yep, the Bulls have a bright future, but not brighter
Indiana has a very bright future as well...Tinsley, Jones, Bender, Harrington, O'neal, Artest, Mercer, Brad Miller...That's a pretty nice line-up for the future

The Clips are horrible because Sterling will screw it up

Memphis looks good with the addition of West along with Gasol & Gooden

Nets don't because Kidd will leave and Eddie Jordan is leaving...

Don't be surprised if Kidd signs an extension next year. His wife has clearly stated that she likes it here and doesn't want to move again. Kidd has become a hero here and is very tight with Byron Scott...not to mention that the Nets can AND WILL offer him more than anyone else.

As for Eddie Jordan...him leaving would hurt the nets about as much as if Larry Smith were to leave the Rockets...probably less.

New Jersey is just a suburb of New York, much like sugar land where a lot of Rockets player's stays.

Buddy, I think you're misinformed by the bias NJ media...haha

Well anyways, we'll see how much Kidd really loves playing in NJ next year when free agency comes up...

About Eddie Jordan, you're definitely not understanding the situaton. Do you know why Eddie Jordan is being pursued so hard by teams like the Nuggets among others? I don't see Mr. Mean being pursued like that. Do you know why? It's because Eddie is the creator of the new NJ style of offense. Kidd was the perfect player to implement it, but the overall scheme was Eddie not Byron. Byron just paces back and forth on the court with his arms crossed trying to look tough, but is so overrated as a coach...

I live in NYC and the towns that comprise suburban northern NJ are about a thousand times nicer than Sugarland. Plus, its near Manhattan. However the B&T crowd on weekend nights gives the whole state a bad name, I'll grant you that.

I'm not your buddy...nor am I misinformed...but if it makes you feel better to say that, feel free:rolleyes:

NJ had no style of offense before Kidd got there...Eddie had nothing to do with it

    money talks...just ask Webber

    Ok buddy...
Anyways, Eddie had ALOT to do with the offense. You didn't answer why many teams are desperately pursuing him if he's not that important? You don't know what is happening behind the scenes...

Yeah...a lot of teams. Listen up Mr. Insider Behind the Scenes...Eddie Jordan reached an agreement with the Nets LAST WEEK to return to the team. The only team in his contract that he can leave the Nets to coach is (drum roll please)...Denver.

Now I can see how your intelligence (or lack thereof) leads you to think that coaching the Nuggets is some overly wonderful opportunity. Other than a bigger paycheck, there's nothing that great about it. I mean, think of all the legends they have lured to coach the Nuggets in the past:rolleyes:

So, BUDDY, care to list any one of those teams that wants him to coach next season?

Denver was the only team pursuing him because as far as I know them and GS are the only teams looking for head coaches. So saying "many" was wrong...sorry

By the way, buddy ( I know you like me calling you that), coaching Denver is a better opportunity because he would be the OFFICIAL head coach rather than the unrecognized one in NJ...

Another thing BUDDY...Jordan has been the assistant for the past 3 1/2 years...a lot of good he did them BEFORE Kidd got there.

probably due to his stellar 33-64 career head coaching record
