Is there any rocket that you would not consider trading?

I was thinking of this the other day since guys like Bosh are being discussed as potential trades. Would I give up a guy like Landry or Brooks who are my 2 favorite rocket players in order to get a marquee player like Bosh? Although on paper it make sense because Bosh is statistically better than both, I've grown really fond of some of these players just due to the effort, hustle and passion they put on the court, I was thinking it would be really tough to see some of our guys that we developed move on to other teams, even if it made us better on paper, I might enjoy watching this team scrap and play hard to get into the playoffs rather than have the starpower to coast on in.

i don't know, it's like our players are so easy to root for, as much as I think we need some top talent to put us over the edge, it seems extremely difficult to think of sending some of these guys packing.

No. It's hard because you get attached to players, and Houston does have a unique chemistry, but the name of the game is championship. If you can get a unique talent, you got to do it. Michael Dickerson and Othella Harrington looked like very good role players too, but Houston had a chance to get a potential star in Steve Francis and they jumped on it.

No one. Anyone can be traded as long there is a chance to improve the team.

    Landry.

Also Brooks, only if CP3 isn't involved in the trade.

    Everybody else is fair game.

Just Landry. I'd trade anyone else.

Carl is my favorite Rocket and would like to say he is untouchable...but, if we had to give him up to get Bosh, we would have to do it. Yao, Bosh and Brooks would be one heck of a 'big 3' to contend with next season.

    Battier and Scola.

Scola is the main reason why everyone is playing harder. It rubbed off on everyone else. He's just relentless on the floor.

Battier is the leader, puts everyone else where they belong and is always helping. Many people get on him because of his scoring but when you're guarding the best player on the floor night in and night out, you can't ask of him much more.

These 2 players are who made this current Rocket's team who they are. I'd hate to see anyone else go, other than Cook, Ariza and Dorsey, but if i had to keep 2, it'd be them.

^^ oops, hit reply too early.

That being said, I would welcome a trade that makes our team SIGNIFICANTLY better. Another caveat: the trade can't contain anyone from the Jazz besides D-Will, anyone from the Mavs, Manu Ginobili, or Anderson Varejao.

Landry. But if we can get Bosh, I'm down.

People love Landry, and even more his contract, but when his contract is up, he's going to cash in big time, and IMO, he's not a 30-35MPG type PF.

I'd hate to see Shane shipped off to some unforsaken place as well. Clippers, Grizz, etc.

Nope, I really enjoy watching Landry, Brooks and Scola(Shoot I just bought a couple of Scola jerseys) but I LOVE the name on the front of the Jersey. It hurt when we traded OT for Clyde but the reality was it made us a better team and eventually champions along with contenders for years to come. Brooks and Landry have tremendous potential but Bosh is what we hope Landry becomes so why not go after the original NOW.

Hey Clutch, I was wondering when I would get my Contributing Member status? I donated to CF via Paypal.

Why Carl Landry? Seems to me he is our best bargaining chip right now. Any trade that immediately benefits the Rockets would almost certainly include Brooks or Landry.

I'm a fan of pretty much everybody that gets PT and I'd sad to see most any of them go. But if it improves the team, I'm all for it.

I would not consider trading Yao and Landry. Brooks would be tough, but I would move him if the return was nice (e.g., Chris Paul).

No one I'm afraid. But I wouldn't trade either one of Brooks/Landry/Budinger for a 2nd-tier star player ala Caron Butler. Also might hang on to Yao and see what he can still offer on his return.
