First of all, there's no way he's going to NJ to play with Devin Harris and a bunch of scrubs. Secondly, he already said publicly it's a business decision so obviously he's not looking to stay in Cleveland. He might go to NYK for the money but I think he'll want a championship more.

As you know T-Mac's contract will expire then, we let Rafer go as well. That means we'll need Francis at PG and we sign Artest and move James to the 2.

    Our lineup would be
    PG-Aaron Brooks
    SG-Lebron James
    SF-Ron Artest
    PF-Luis Scola
    C-Yao Ming

Is this even possible? Is there a way for Houston to get Lebron?

lebron is going to NY no doubt about it

why would he want to play with yao? his game would hurt him more than help him since he clogs up the paint and slows the game down. lebron wants to run up and down, not slow to a crawl and play halfcourt.

i doubt we'll get any big name stars. we just need a quality player who does the little things. for the love of god dont resign t-mac.

Am I missing something? Everybody is talking about Lebron going to NY as a sure thing. Did he say something that I just missed?

Lebron to Houston? Only in Nba Live 2009.

*even then I think EA programmed it so if you try to trade for Lebron, the game shuts down.

    Francis at PG? Seriously?
    Lebron as a SG? Seriously?

I don't think Lebron is coming here but even if he did having Francis as the PG would pretty much guarantee more failures.

Why would you want Lebron? He has made it clear that he is playing for the money and not the game.

If so, our lineup would be awesome, but it may be daydreaming

tmac's contract is done by then.

isn't yao also? that's like $40 million off the books.

if we can't sign a lebron (no chance) or wade (most likely he'll stay in miami w/ improvement of beasley and he said he wants to stay there), give the max to amare or bosh (both are STUDS).

get the remaining of that cap-space and maybe sign another all-star SG (not necessarily superstar) b/c we have brooks at PG, landry/scola at PF, and we have a pretty bright future.

unless we win a championship or at least get to the WCF, this is the route that's gonna happen.

tracy will be gone, and yao will most likely be gone.

The players that the rockets should go after is either wade or bosh since they both fit more to our style of games

Why wouldnt Lebron go to NJ? NJ is a very talented young team, Just look at their lineup if he went there.

    Harris/some scrub.
Carter/Some one dimensional scrub theyll pickup to spread the floor.
    Lebron/CDR
    Yi/Anderson
    Lopez/Boone

This could become a new dynasty.

I'm not convinced Cleveland will never trade LeBron. Come next summer, or perhaps February 2010, if they feel they are going to lose him as a free agent for nothing, they might try trading him to a contender in exchange for a good return. However, all that we could offer that other teams bidding for him couldn't top is Yao. Packages of TMac, Brooks, Scola, Landry, etc. will not be enough to top what other teams will offer. It would take Yao to get it done, but what does that leave the Rockets left over that is appealing enough to LeBron to sign a long term deal here?

As to signing LeBron as a free agent in 2010, that's a long shot, too. Even if we renounce McGrady's expired contract, and clear up enough cap space to sign LeBron, would the remaining nucleus of Yao, Brooks, Artest (maybe), Battier, Landry, and maybe Scola (who will be an unrestricted free agent) be more attractive to him than another team's nucleus that has cap space?

King J wouldn't fit in our offense system. New York would be perfect for him. As far as whether Cleveland would let him go, if they go far in the playoffs this season they might give him a better contract. It's all $$ for Lebron, not interested in him at all. Lebron + Yao would be a big failure.
