I think Kings fans are a bunch of unappreciative nimrods...They practically lick his balls to get him to re-sign, then they boo him during one bad shooting night after rehabbing from a 10 month injury.

It's unfortunately for Webber to come back so late this season. Right now is a lose-lose situation for the Kings. A playoff ready Webber is still Kings' best player and Kings' only hope for a title. But Webber is playing terrible and it doesn't look like Kings will have time to get him 100% ready for playoff.

Well he hasn't played with the team pretty much all season and is still coming back from a bad injury.

While he works himself back into game shape and gels with the team, yeah it turns them into a team-in-transition which is worse than they were to start the season.

But no way, generally speaking, are they a worse team with Webber. Shoot, don't forget Bobby Jackson's been gone since Webber returned, so that's a hit they've had to weather. Brad Miller's also a little banged up, so it definitely helps to have CWebb back in the fold for Sacramento.

Webber says he is very -deeply hurt by Fans booing. He says if this continues he will look to be traded.

Never liked Webber since he teased the Rockets into thinking he wanted to come here. He never intended to come here.

In answer to the thread title 'YES' - they are better without Webber (as shown last year and this year when they played without him)

Webber puts up great numbers - but so does Abdur-Rahim... doesn't mean they make their teams any better...

They're certainly better without the Webber we've seen this year. He just doesn't have his timing or athleticism back.

if he would have came off the bench when he got off the DL i bet they wouldn't have booed him. but he not only took over an undeserving starting spot, he also put brad miller on the bench...who was an all-star this year. so of course he has a lot on his back.

webber should have known better..then again...he's not a smart one.

It's the Ewing theory in action...

I have a three-word explanation for you: "The Ewing Theory."

It's bigger than the "SI Jinx." It makes the "Curse of the Bambino" look like child's play. It's creepier than the "Curse of the 'Spinal Tap' Drummers" and the "Curse on the Careers of Everyone Who Leaves 'NYPD Blue' " combined. Quite simply, it's the most life-altering sports phenomenon of this lifetime.

    Not all of them.

And the Kings are not better without Webber, at least not where the playoffs are concerned; they might be able to finish with a better regular season record without Webber, but they're not beating anybody in the playoffs without him.

technically they weren't beating anyone WITH him either. SURE the refs helped A LOT that one year against the lakers but it has been bibby that has been pulling through.

honestly, i just think webber's role is fillable and that has been proven with brad miller.

Miller isn't there to take Webber's spot; he's there to take Divac's spot.

I don't agree with you about Webber's value (or, apparently, about how good the Kings really are), but I'm not going to argue about the Kings on a Rockets board; that's not what I come here for...

The answer in my opinion is 'YES'...their play has suffered since Web's return and Peja's role as a leader of the team is no more...the King of the Kings title goes to C.Webber now!!

I think Webber should shut up and step up. He is being paid big money. What has he contibuted so far? He has a lot to prove. It's not like he has won a lot for the Kings fans.

Someone on the radio this morning said that Webber has never won anything since high school. That brought up the memory of his meltdown timeout call during crunch time in the NCAA Final. He has the reputation of being a wuss, not willing to bang down low and not daring to take the big shots. He has done nothing so far to dispel that reputation. And threatening to demand a trade because of the fans booing is just weak.

It's funny, talking about Webber like this, given how much he makes and how desperately the Kings sought to keep him.

Right now his return has messed with team chemistry. You could say they were playing great without him, but how will the future look? Floppy Divac just turned 36 and will probably sign for a couple years to back up the center spot (Brad Miller shifting to PF at times).

C-Webb has such a large contract, I can't imagine to which team they might look to trade him; so hopefully for the Kings they'll mesh again with the talent they have. Me, I don't care if the Kings lose, unless it's to beat the Lakers. And I don't even care as much about that as I used to.

Would anyone do a Steve Francis for Webber trade this offseason? Doug Christie is on the decline and the Kings could move Francis to the 2.

I don't think I would do it unless the Kings added another player to the mix due to Webber being the older player. If the Kings offered us Webber and Bobby Jackson for Franchise I would do it in a heartbeat.
