What does TMac and Stevie faking have to do with the price of NBA gear in China??? If you're talking tanking, then I want TMac faking & Stevie playing. If you're talking championship, I want TMac playing & Stevie faking.

I dont think Francis is faking a flu. Francis doesnt has to.

But I am wondering if Mike James is even trying. The last 2 games, Mike James played 13 minutes in garbage time, James didnt even attempt 1 shoot. That's the wierdest thing.

Name Min FG 3Pt FT +/- Off Reb Ast TO Stl BS BA PF Pts
    Rockets vs Pistons
    M. James 8:52 0-0 0-0 0-0 +7 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 0
    Rockets vs Bulls
    M. James 4:18 0-0 0-0 0-0 -7 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

    Stevie out with the flu
    Tmac with phantom injuries
    Yao talking trash
Mike James not giving any post-game interview gems
Rick Adelman spending more time making excuses than coaching
    Luis Scola is actually human

Wow. This season isn't shaping up to be what I hoped for.

I think Adelman is faking coaching.

He's not doing a very good job either. Hell, I might have to pull a page from the Pardee book and ask Adelman to wear some headphones so it at least looks like he's a part of the game.

I think there is some validity to this statement. I don't think Rick completely thought out his decision to return to coaching. I'm not as familiar with him as some other fans but I have been an NBA fan long enough to remember his stints in Portland and Sacramento well. He has always been a "player's coach" but I don't remember him sounding so confused and acting as if he is powerless like he has here from the start.

Yao Ming faked his hand injury. He supposedly got hurt when he reached down and touched Ben Wallace's privates. Unless Ben was playing basketball with a hard-on, it could not have hurt him.

Our expectations were to high and not really realistic. We had a flawed Team from the jump, last season jeff got the maximum out of the squad but those flaws still should up come playoff time. Who cares if you win 52 games, gain home court advantage in the first round and you can't close out game 7 on your home floor and lose another first round match up.Your 52 games become a waisted effort it means nothing. All everyone is focusing on is the 52 wins from last season but we are not being realistic and looking at the fact that the core group still haven't won a playoff series in 4 seasons. Because the core have major issues and one reason rick was brought in as coach was to increase scoring and help spread the wealth around but it hasn't worked because you have a TEAM that was built on 2 on 5 basketball and 4 seasons with jeff have planted a mentality that this is how we play and having a offensive coach come in with a different mentality you have friction and resistance because guys are slow to wanna change.

And as far as the off season aquisitions they were flawed as well.Mike james sat on the bench last season and so did steve francis, these teams didn't want neither of these dudes so we really picked up garbage. The league is becoming about youth again and speed and quickness are the new themes. It has taken rick and us fans this long to see that steve can't bring it like he used to and mike james isn't that same player he was with the rockets and the raptors,Everybody cried WE WANT STEVE and were hot that adelman wouldn't play him and now people have to see the reality that steve doesn't have the same game. Chemistry makes great teams and you are not going to win a playoff series playing 2 on 5 PERIOD,POINT,BLANK

Rick I think has found a combination of players that play with each other and play for each other.Aaron brooks and luther head have terrific game chemistry, these dudes give the team another look and give you a modern day style of hoops which is where the league is going which is about speed and quickness and utilizing the new rules to drive and kick.

Rick can really go small with aaron, luther, bonzi, shane and luis. This crew plays real well with each other they all play together and every guy has a certain chemistry that blend well with one another. You can run teams out the building with this lineup and then you can pound teams inside or outside with Tracy and Yao ming using their superior individual skills together.

The only thing that sucks is that it took 25 games to understand that steve aint the same, mike james only cares about his own shot and that these guys don't blend together with the concept TEAM.Also I think with magic speaking on tracy and all the fan and news trade tracy talk has really got to tracy and is making him understand that he has to change his mind state and his game a little to make the Team better.

Yao has grown as well,Yao has learned to be self motivated and gain leadership with rick's style of coaching. With jeff Yao had become to DEPENDENT on jeff, the whole team was and now with jeff gone the team is learning that it'a all on them because a coach can only do so much, the players are the ones who have to lead the team out of the many rounds of playoff series. When the coach is your leader you can only go so far and for the last 4 seasons it's been a over achieved regular season and elimination in the first round becasue the players have to be the leaders not the head coach.

C'mon, Francis faking it? We all know how bad he wants to play. That is why I like him so much. He could easily just sit back and collect easy money on the end bench but he wants to play bad. You can tell that he really wants to help Houston win a title. Francis may not be the greatest player in the world, but no way he would FAKE an injury to NOT play.

Was Hakeem faking an injury back in the day? Until he took a plane ride with Charlie Thomas and they worked out an extension?

Knee tendonitis can be very tough on an older player. One of the ways to rehabilitate it is to rest. It’s not like you can perform knee-strengthening exercises like you can with other knee injuries. Overuse is usually the cause. This means that Steve has to sit around and take anti-inflammatory medication. While Steve sits around, he going to gain weight, which will prevent him from being in NBA shape. Also, because he is 30 his leg muscles will atrophy at a faster pace, which will make him slower. We could be looking at the end of his career.
