Not sure if this was posted but if it was please lock it up. I didn't see it.

"Is T-Mac really a softee who vaporizes into thin air when a game gets tough? Or is he truly an offensive genius who simply hasn't had enough quality toys to play with?

While Stevie Francis and Bonzi Wells have their flaws, they at least constitute a brace of proven scorers who might be able to spread the defense and give McGrady more room in which to operate. Still, even with Francis and Wells, and even with Yao in the middle, the Rockets are T-Mac's team. And it's his responsibility to step up, toughen up and finally be the leading man on a team that wins a playoff series.

    Or not."

If he can't put his team on his back and get them out of the 1st round, then he is not a Superstar!

well one playoff series changes the "perception" of his career (that has not ended). yes 4 wins will def. make him a legend.

to me, if houston and tmac win 1 series, it's a matter of time they win it all. the monkey on the organization (who hasn't won for a while) and him are HUGE. if they can get over that hump, i feel the sky is the limit b/c their confidence will be sky high.

a confident tmac = best player.

Both T-Mac and Yao are on the hot seat this year. None has advance pass the first and they're supposed to be the best (in Yao's case) and almost the best (T-Mac's case) in their respective position.

    Man I just can't wait till 10/31.

I'm so sick of all these, "TMac needs to man up and lead his team to salvation" articles.

Rosen is full of sh*t as always. He's a Yao hater too.... remember the gigantism article and the article bashing Yao for being "too robotic" in a game where he scored 36 points?

That's a good point, although Kobe has had a lot less to work with.

Obviously, but when the others are struggling late in game 7 of any playoff round, the so-called "Superstar" should impose his will and take over. McGrady has never done that.

Who said Yao was a Superstar?

Kobe has been out of the 1st round of the playoffs, he had a key role in winning 3 championships. What has McGrady or Yao ever accomplished in their careers?

kobe's won three rings. Don't tell me about Shaq carrying the team by himself without Kobe playing like a superstar shaq would not have won three in LA.

A "leading" player who can't drive in, take it to the hoop when it really counts then yes, yes he is a softy!
