I really think this has been one of the better toons, in many years...very entertaining, very creative and stylish! I was watching this with my near 3 year old, and she started to copy the yell Jack does and had an angry look on her face...really it was kinda funny, but it seems that no one under 12 or so should watch this... It is very, very violent. I think it's cool, but I'm an adult. I feel the urge to invoke my parental guidance, and not let her see it....but I wanted to gather thoughts on this.
Speaking of the Cartoon Network, has anyone seen the one with the Meatball and the Fries and the Beverage. That is one of the most bizzare things I have ever seen.
Two words: Japanese Animation (or Anime)... And I'm not talking about the edited stuff they show on tv.
I have a beautiful 2 year old and I have to say the most important thing when something questionable occurs is not to be embarressed and answer their query immediately. Or explain entertainment versus real life right and wrong. Too many let their pride get in the way and the kid is forced to answer his own questions. So my answer is no the cartoon isn't wrong. p*rn is wrong until you reach 17 then it is good. And I am thankful for all that is good.
Has anyone seen thos Japanese animation that sometimes comes on at HBO or Max at nite? Now that is definitely not for kids. That shouldnt even be for adults, its just sickening.
That's tame compared to what you can get if you on DVD. Anyway, anime is absolutely awesome. Akira, Ninja Scroll, Fist of the North Star; three must own anime titles. If you want sickening, go rent the Legend of the Overfiend series. That is, if you find alien sex disturbingly arousing. I do.
