We are of course happy with ROX's 4 streak wins. But if we check those winning games, we would find that ROX can play three QTs only (at most) game well. It seems that they cannot play (consistently) 4 QTs game very well. Take ROX VS Blazers as an example. When ROX were leading by 16 at the 3rd QT, ROX started to go back to old playing way. They cannot move ball well. Suddenly they couldn't shot. Does JVG find a right way to let ROX play a consistently good game? Anyway, I am glad to see that CATO and JJ (as start-up spots) could (finally ) contribute 20+ pts per game at the offense end. That is very important to secure ROX's wins.
You ever heard the phrase "everybody makes a run"...Well, believe it or not, it does have some merit. I'm more concerned about their late game execution, which was flawless...
I was just watching the 2 championships on ESPN and the Rox had 4th quarter breakdowns in almost all the playoff games, it even lost us a couple games. The Rockets even blew a 100-82 point lead going into the 4th quarter vs. the Knicks. We've had such great 3 quarters in the last 3 games and have almost blew it, luckily we have pulled through. The "W" is the only thing that matters at the end.
Complain all you want, but three good quarters, then a good final two minutes will win a lot of games. A few grey hairs, and bags under the eyes, but a lot of wins.
