Is Ralph Sampson officially on the Rockets coaching staff?

    I read an artical from the chro that Sampson was very interesting in working with Yao. Can any houstonians provide any clues? Is he with the rockets bench during games?

    Not as far as I can tell. Haven't seen a black Yao yet hovering by the pine.

    You've got to be kidding me. The guy was a phenom in the early 80's. Had almost as much upside as Hakeem.

    This may not be a good idea. Sampson, from everything I've read about him, is not particularly fond of mixing it up inside. I'm not sure I'd want Yao to be just taking mid-range jumpers all the time.
